Pedri's POV

The sun was starting to set, casting a warm glow over the training ground as I wrapped up an intense session. The sweat was still dripping down my forehead as I grabbed my water bottle, feeling a mix of exhaustion and relief. I headed towards the small group of my teammates gathered near the bench. Ansu, Lamine, and Balde were deep in conversation, their laughter echoing through the air.

"Hey, Pedri! You survived another day?" Ansu called out, grinning as he tossed me a towel.

"Just barely," I replied, wiping my face. "Thanks for the encouragement yesterday, by the way. I finally talked to Luciana."

The trio's expressions shifted instantly, their curiosity piqued. Lamine leaned forward, a playful grin on his face. "So, how did it go? Did you confess your undying love for eachother?"

"Very funny," I shot back, rolling my eyes. "We talked about everything—how we were feeling, where we stand now. It felt good to finally address it."

Balde nodded,"That's great, Pedri, I'm proud of you."

"Yeah, you're finally on the right track!" Ansu chimed in, giving me a light punch on the shoulder. "So, what's next? Are you going to ask her out on a date or something?"

I chuckled, rubbing the spot he punched. "I actually asked her to go for a walk around the city tomorrow. I thought it might help us reconnect a bit more."

Lamine raised his eyebrows, a teasing smile spreading across his face. "A walk? So romantic! Just you two, strolling hand in hand?"

"Shut up," I said, laughing despite myself. "It's just a walk. We need to talk and clear the air."

"Whatever you say, Casanova," Balde teased, crossing his arms. "Just make sure to remember the little things—like how she likes her coffee."

"Or how she hates that song you used to play on repeat!" Lamine added, making all of us laugh.

"Okay, okay, I get it! I'll be on my best behavior," I promised, feeling a surge of nervous excitement. "But seriously, thanks for pushing me to talk to her. I didn't think I'd have the courage to do it without you guys."

"Anytime, bro," Ansu said, clapping me on the back. "Just remember, it's all about communication. And if she starts talking about feelings, just nod and pretend you know what you're doing."

I chuckled again, shaking my head at his antics. "I'll try to keep that in mind."

We continued chatting as we gathered our things, and I felt lighter than I had in weeks.

I stood outside her apartment, the sun casting a bright light on the street. My heart raced as I waited for her to come down. I'd spent the morning thinking about our walk, about the memories we might share, and how different things could be.

When the door opened, my breath caught in my throat. Luciana stood there, looking beautiful as ever. She wore a simple white dress that flowed with the breeze.

"Hey!" she greeted, her smile lighting up her face.

"Hey," I replied, forcing myself to relax. "Ready to walk?"

"Absolutely," she said, stepping out and closing the door behind her.

As we began walking through the streets of Barcelona, I couldn't help but steal glances at her. It felt surreal to be out here together, talking and laughing like old times.

"So, where do you want to go?" Luciana asked, breaking the comfortable silence.

"Maybe we could walk along the beach? It's been a while since we did that," I suggested, feeling nostalgic.

"Yeah, that sounds perfect," she agreed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Remember the last time we went? You tried to impress me with your terrible swimming skills?"

I laughed, the memory flooding back. "I was trying to show off! You were so much better than me, though."

"I thought I was going to drown just watching you!" she teased, nudging me playfully.

We walked along, reminiscing about our shared memories, and the conversation flowed easily between us. "What about the time we got lost trying to find that café?" she asked, her laughter ringing in my ears.

"Oh man, yes! We ended up at that random tapas place instead, we had to ask the waiter where we were." I chuckled, shaking my head at the memory. "I swear, I've never been so embarrassed in my life."

"Right?" she giggled, nudging me again. "But we had the best paella ever! I still think about it sometimes."

"Let's go back there someday," I suggested, feeling a warmth spread through me. "Just to relive it."

"Deal!" Luciana smiled, and for a moment, I felt that familiar spark between us.

As we strolled, I found myself stealing glances at her, noticing how her laughter seemed to light up the world around us. "You know," I said hesitantly, "I've missed this. Just being with you."

Luciana looked at me, her expression softening. "Me too, Pedri. I've missed us. It's been hard trying to figure everything out without you."

"I know we've both been through a lot, but I'm really glad we're talking again," I said, my heart racing. "I still care about you, you know?"

Her gaze dropped for a moment, and when she looked back up, there was a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. "I care about you too, Pedri. More than I thought I would after everything."

We continued walking, the sun beginning to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange. I wanted to tell her how I felt, to confess that I still loved her, but I held back. We were in a delicate place, and I didn't want to ruin what we had started to rebuild.

As we reached the beach, we paused, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filling the air. I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "It feels like everything is changing, you know? But I'm glad we're still here together."

Luciana nodded, her expression contemplative. "Yeah, it really does. It's nice to remember the good times and not just focus on the bad."

I smiled, the tension in my chest easing a bit. "Let's make new memories, too. We can start fresh, one step at a time."

"Sounds perfect," she agreed, and for a brief moment, I dared to hope that maybe, just maybe, we could find our way back to each other.

As we stood there, the sun dipping below the horizon, I felt a mix of hope and fear. The future was uncertain, but for now, I was grateful to be walking beside Luciana, sharing laughter and memories.

"Ready to tackle the waves?" I asked, trying to keep the mood light.

"Only if you promise not to drown this time!" she shot back, her laughter echoing into the twilight.

With a smile, we moved closer to the water, ready to embrace whatever came next, together.
