I woke up the next morning in Pedri's apartment, sunlight streaming through the curtains and warming my skin. It took me a moment to remember the events of last night—the surprise party, the laughter, and the intimacy we shared afterward. My heart fluttered as I turned to find Pedri still asleep beside me, his face relaxed and peaceful.
I couldn't help but smile, feeling grateful for him. But we had to get moving; we both had busy days ahead. After a quick shower, I changed into a pair of light jeans and a fitted top.
"Morning, sleepyhead," I said, nudging Pedri lightly as I finished brushing my hair. He stirred, blinking his eyes open, and flashed me that charming smile that always made my heart race.
" Are you sure you want to leave? We could stay here" he trailed off, winking at me.
I laughed, shaking my head. "As tempting as that sounds, I have to meet Valeria to film some content and you've got training."
"Yeah, I know." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'll be done by noon. Want to meet up afterward?"
"Definitely!" I replied, feeling a surge of excitement.
"Perfect," he said, getting out of bed and pulling me into a warm embrace.
After a quick breakfast, I headed to the training facility to meet Valeria.
As I set up my camera gear, I spotted the players arriving, laughter and shouts filling the air. Pedri was among the first, looking effortlessly handsome in his training kit.
"Ready for another day of filming?" Valeria asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Absolutely! I've got some fun ideas," I replied, adjusting the lens of my camera.
We filmed various segments, capturing the players during warm-ups and drills. Everyone was in high spirits, but my attention kept drifting back to Pedri. I noticed how he encouraged his teammates, his enthusiasm infectious. It reminded me why I fell for him in the first place—his passion and kindness.
After filming, I said goodbye to Valeria and headed back to my apartment, feeling a bit drained but content. Just as I stepped inside, my phone buzzed with a message from Mikky.
Mikky: Hey, can you babysit Miles again? Me and Frenkie are having dinner with his mum who is in Barcelona.
I smiled, thinking of the cute five-year-old.
Me: Of course! I'd love to. When do you need me?
Mikky: Is now okay?
Me: Absolutely! I'll be there soon!
I was about to grab my things when I thought of Pedri.
Me: Hey, do you want to join me? Mikky needs a babysitter, and it'll be fun!
Pedri: sure. Let me grab my stuff.
When I arrived at Mikky and Frenkie's place, I found Miles playing with his toys, his face lighting up as soon as he saw me.
"Luciana! You came!" he exclaimed, running towards me for a hug.
"Of course, buddy! I wouldn't miss it for the world," I replied, hugging him tightly. "And look who's coming with me today!"
Just then, Pedri walked in, a grin on his face. "Hey, Miles! Ready for some fun?"
Miles's eyes widened in excitement. "Uncle Pedri! Can we play football again?"
"Absolutely! But I can't promise I won't lose," Pedri said, playfully glancing at me.
