Pedri's POV

The air at training was charged with the usual energy of a pre-match session, but my mind was elsewhere. With Esther now out of the apartment and our divorce in motion, I had to address the situation with Luciana. I'd been avoiding the conversation for a while, but today felt like the right time. I couldn't put it off any longer.

After training, as the team was cooling down, I caught Luciana by the side of the pitch. She was talking to Ferran, Fermin and Gavi, but I needed to speak with her alone. I waited until they walked away, then approached her with a mix of apprehension and resolve.

"Hey, Luciana," I said, trying to keep my tone casual.

She looked up, her expression softening. "Hey, Pedri. What's up?"

"Can we talk somewhere private?" I asked, nodding towards a quieter spot by the training facilities. "It's important."

Luciana's brow furrowed slightly, but she nodded and followed me to the edge of the field, where a small bench sat beneath the shade of a tree. We both sat down, and I took a deep breath, trying to collect my thoughts.

"So," I began, "Esther and I are officially in the process of getting a divorce. She's moved out already."

Luciana's eyes widened, a look of shock and concern crossing her face. "Wait, what? She's moved out?"

"Yeah," I said, nodding. "It's happening faster than I thought it would. She's already settled into her new place. She was very quick to move on."

Luciana's face grew pale as she processed the information. "I can't believe it. I thought she would fight it more. But... how did you find out she was cheating?"

I hesitated for a moment, the memory of that phone call still fresh in my mind. "She came back early from her trip, and when I confronted her, she admitted that she knew about us. She knew about our affair and that she was using it as leverage. She had already started seeing someone else, someone richer. She used me for the fame and followers."

Luciana looked stunned, her mouth slightly open. "She knew? And she didn't say anything before?"

"Yeah," I confirmed, rubbing the back of my neck. "It turns out she was more prepared for this than I was. She didn't even seem to care much. I guess she got what she wanted from this marriage: fame and a comfortable life. She's moving on, and it's like nothing ever mattered to her."

Luciana shook her head in disbelief. "That's crazy. I never thought it would be so easy for her. I thought she'd be more... upset, I guess."

"It was a bit of a shock for me too," I admitted. "But it's done now. We're moving forward with the divorce process. It's just that... well, I'm still adjusting to everything."

Luciana looked down at her hands, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "I'm sorry, Pedri. I know this must be hard for you."

"It is," I said quietly. "But I'm trying to focus on the future. I know we've talked about this before, but I need to ask: Are you still... with Dante?"

Luciana's gaze met mine, a conflicted expression on her face. "I am. But it's complicated. I care about him, but..."

"But?" I prompted.

She hesitated, her eyes searching for the right words. "But I'm not ready to break up with him yet. If we both end things with our partners at the same time, the media will definitely catch on. They'll start making assumptions about us, and I'm not sure we're ready for that kind of attention."

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "I understand. It's just... it's hard to keep this secret and juggle everything. I don't want to rush you into anything, but I also don't want to be in this limbo forever."
