Still Aiah POV...
Aiah's mind was racing, trying to make sense of the sudden appearance of Mikha. The Mikha she once knew was quiet, gentle, and reserved—the complete opposite of the person standing in front of her now, exuding confidence and dominance.
Mikha's eyes were filled with a mixture of coldness and amusement as she stared at Mark. "You look surprised, cousin," Mikha said with a smirk. Her voice was deeper now, more authoritative.
Mark clenched his fists, his emotions battling between shock and rage. "What are you doing here, Mikha? This has nothing to do with you!"
Mikha raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening. "Oh, it has everything to do with me, Mark." She turned her head slightly towards Mark's father, who was still glaring, his hands trembling in anger from the earlier confrontation.
"I came here because I knew this moment would come," Mikha continued, walking around the table, her eyes scanning the lavish mansion as if it were hers to command. "I've been watching from the sidelines, waiting for the day you'd find out the truth. Waiting for you to realize that this life you’ve been trying so hard to hold onto isn’t really yours."
Mark was visibly shaking now, his face pale. "You don't understand anything. Stay out of this!"
But Mikha simply laughed, a sound that sent shivers down Aiah's spine. "Oh, I understand everything, Mark. You're not the rightful heir of this family. I am.
Aiah gasped. She had no idea about this power struggle within Mark's family, and hearing Mikha claim her place as the rightful heir was like stepping into a drama too surreal to believe.
The tension in the room thickened as Mark’s father, who had been sitting silently after his outburst, stood up slowly. His cold, emotionless gaze landed on Mikha. "You've returned for power, haven’t you?" he said, his voice low but filled with venom.
Mikha’s smirk faded slightly, her eyes narrowing. "I’ve returned for justice. This family has been run by secrets and lies for too long. It’s time for the truth to come out. Isa din ako sa pinaka mayamang tao dito sa bansa dahil kapatid mo ang tatay ko at mas may karapatan ako dahil mas panganay ang tatay ko kesa sayo dito." She looked back at Mark, her gaze softening for a brief moment. "You’re not the enemy, Mark. But you were never meant to lead. Napakahina mo para pamunuan ang pamilya ko."
Mark took a step back, shaking his head in disbelief. "No… No, that’s not true… This can’t be happening. Mikha ano bang sinasabi mo! Umalis kana dito! Hampas lupa ka!" His voice cracked, the weight of everything crashing down on him.
Aiah, who had been silently observing, felt the urge to speak up, to comfort Mark, but her own fear kept her frozen in place. What could she say in a moment like this?
Mikha crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly. "Accept it, Mark. It’s over. You can fight it all you want, but the truth has a way of coming out, no matter how much you want to hide it."
The room fell into a heavy silence, the air thick with unresolved emotions and years of buried secrets.
As the tension hung in the air, Mikha’s gaze shifted slowly toward me, her eyes softening in a way that made me feel uneasy. She stepped closer, her confident stride echoing in the large room. My heart raced as her intense gaze locked onto mine.
"You see, Mark," Mikha began, her voice dripping with amusement, "I didn’t just come back for power. I came back for something else. Something more… precious."
Mark frowned, confusion written all over his face. "What are you talking about? Wag mong lapitan ang wife ko!"
Mikha stopped in front of me, reaching out to gently lift my chin with her fingers. Her touch was cold, but the possessiveness in her eyes sent a wave of discomfort through me.
"I came back for Aiah," Mikha said with a smirk, her voice low and dangerous. "I want her to be my wife. Gusto kong sakin lang sya, gusto kong maging wife si aiah."
Mark's eyes widened, and he immediately stepped forward, fury blazing in his gaze. "What?! You're insane, Mikha! She's my wife! Kasal kami at hindi mo na sya pweding maging asawa! Nababaliw kana ba talaga ha?!"
Mikha chuckled darkly, not even sparing Mark a glance. "Oh, cousin, I don’t think you understand. Aiah deserves someone who can truly take care of her, someone who can offer her the world—someone like me. Naiisip mo ba nung gabing nahuli mo kami? Kung paano sya mag moan habang nag sesex kami mark? She like me and my buddy so much."
I was frozen, my mind reeling. Was this really happening? Mikha wanted me? My heart pounded in my chest as I looked at Mark, hoping he could make sense of this, but the anger in his face only mirrored my own confusion.
"You're delusional!" Mark shouted, stepping between us. " Fck you Mikha arghh! Aiah is mine, and she'll never choose you!"
Mikha's smile didn't falter as she leaned against the table, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Is that so? Well, let’s ask her then. Papiliin natin sya kung sino satin"
My breath caught in my throat as Mikha turned to me, her voice softening. "Aiah, sweetheart, don’t you want something more? Don’t you want someone who will protect you from the chaos Mark’s brought into your life? I can give you everything you’ve ever dreamed of. I know na ako yung Gusto mo kesa kay Mark, alam kong mas gusto mo'ko makasama at sa kama right?"
Mark's fists clenched tightly at his sides. "Stay away from her, Mikha!"
But Mikha ignored him, her eyes never leaving mine. There was something terrifying in her gaze, something possessive and determined. I could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on me, and I wasn’t sure how to respond. I never thought I would be in a situation like this—torn between two people, one of whom I never expected to see again, let alone as a threat to my marriage.
"I—" I started to speak, but my voice cracked, and I didn’t know what to say.
Mikha leaned in closer, her voice barely above a whisper. "You don’t have to be afraid anymore, Aiah. Just say the word, and I’ll take you away from all of this. Kayang kaya kitang ilayo sa kanya."
Mark snapped. "Enough!" He grabbed my hand, pulling me behind him protectively. "She's not going anywhere with you. We’re leaving."
But Mikha just smiled. "You think it’s that simple, Mark? This isn’t just about you anymore. Aiah has a choice to make."
I could feel the room closing in on me, and the pressure was unbearable. Mark was tense, his grip on my hand almost painful, while Mikha stood there, calm and collected, as if she had already won.
I had no idea what to do.
