The black haired scoffed, averting this gaze away from the bunch of cooing girls around Misun. She had decided to join them in researching again, but was distracted by all the pampering she had been receiving. Now viewed as a survivor against the brutish attacks, the noirette had been earning a lot of care from the school and her friends. Always worried if she was safe, wanting to be by her side always and being extra nice.
But the black haired saw through all her facade— just like he always had.
Unlike Dahee, he wasn't that easy to get rid off. She was a gaslighter and had managed to get into her friend's mind, erasing the memories linking to her almost death. The brown haired had woken up blank, with zero memory of what happened, but from the tales that rumbled through the halls, how Misun had helped her, she couldn't help but view her as a white knight, who had risked her life to protect her friend.
And that's how it had been the past few days, endless praises showered on her, her likeability getting higher, beloved by all.
“Do you think they'll let her go?” Hyunjin mumbled, his arms pressed on the windshield.
They had been waiting for Misun to cajole the girls to stay off, that she'd be completely fine in the company of both boys, and frankly it had been taking too long, whines and protests would often blast amidst the group, each time making her neighbour to scoff.
If only they knew just how twisted and awry the ravenette could get, they would keep their distance.
“Wow, she's good,” Seungmin remarked, impressed with just how long she could contain her temper, how well she acted the perfect role, refusing to crack under all their persistence.
Of course his words were misinterpreted by the tired brunet stuffed in the car, waiting for his friend to get away from her protective group. “Quit simping,” He twittered, before relaxing on the backrest, a tired groan escaping him.
“I wasn't,” Seungmin pushed himself off the car, shooting the taller a nasty glare. “I meant she's good at wasting our time.”
“Then go get her,” Hyunjin relaxed more on the backrest, his eyes shut nimbly. “I'm too tired to move,” he peeked with an eye, watching the younger's reaction with a tiny smirk on his lips.
Seungmin sighed, his shoulders slouching in defeat. “Fine. . .” with an exasperated huff, he trod to where they stood, carefully slipping through the little spaces between them.
“Yes, I promise to turn away when— hey!” Misun squalled, a reaction from the unexpected tug that interrupted her pledge. The panic washed away from her features when she noticed who had taken her out of the crowd. “Oh, um, I guess that's bye?” the black haired smiled at the warbling girls.
“How long do you plan on keeping this up?” The taller mused.
Misun frowned, a look of dismay on her face. “Couldn't you be a bit nicer?” she decided on taking a different route, disdaining his question.
“I have no reason to be nice to you.”
“You're an absolute jerk. I hate you.”
