Uncertainty is the most stressful feeling

Misun woke up more confused than ever, how she got to her house was all a blur to her, misty memories that felt warm and fuzzy. For all she could remember, she was still clinging onto her neighbour's arm as they exited the rooftop. The black haired cringed at her previous actions, her cheeks burning crimson. She only hoped that he would keep shut about that and not use it to tease her like an asshole.
Another part of the morning that was befuddling to the ravenhead was how placid she felt- a light feeling, almost to the point that her airy steps felt like she was levitating.
She shook her head, trying not to read too much into it. Maybe she was sedated by excessive melatonin, the rooftop was pretty dark and she wasn't one that was comfortable in pitch dimness.
Misun groaned when he felt her phone vibrate, irritated by the sound that wrecked her serene mind, but all her spite dissolved when she saw it called ID; although the very same person made her flood with worry, pondering what could be so serious that he made time to call her? Has he been captured by the cadre? Or was it just a simple work accident?
Pushing that aside, Misun accepted the call, shamming a nervous grin which the older couldn't possibly see. "Yeonjunnie, Hi-" her voice chirped.
"You never told me you go to wild parties now, Misun."
Her brother's tone held annoyance, not his usual rasp of exhaustion- an accentuation that made her gulp. "Because I've never," Misun chuckled nervously. "What are you talking about?"
"Our neighbour- Min. . . Min, there's a 'Min' in his name," he clicked his tongue, annoyed. "He brought you back. You were out cold, and that was his explanation."
Misuns hand clenched into a tight fist, her teeth batting, utterly inflamed by Seungmin's excuse. "That's not-"
"I just called to ask if you're okay, you shouldn't put yourself in danger like that, Misun. I don't want to lose you too, yeah?" Yeonjun's tone got lighter. "It's almost summer break, I'll be home more often."
Misun nodded timidly, disdaining the fact that he couldn't see her. "I'll be waiting, bye, for now. . ." she murmured, ending the call- a genuine beam on her lips. Holidays and breaks were always her favourite, when the only family she had left would spend some time together, without worrying for a while.
----
"Why are you so bad at coming up with excuses?"
Seungmin finally looked away from his book, a finger pressed on his lips; a sibilated hush sound, warning her to keep her voice down. "This is a library, Misun, don't be so loud," he shot her a deterrent look, his brows arched.
The younger bit her dorsal hand- an antic to suppress her ired grunts. She heaved out a breath, a useless attempt to calm down. "You told my brother we were at a party, do-"
"You were at a party," Seungmin corrected.
"Huh?" Misun leaned off the table, blinking profusely, confusion evident in every contour of her features one would describe as adorable.
"I told him you were at a party, I can't include myself in a lie, can I now?"
"It didn't stop you from telling Hyunjin we were 'making out' did it?" Misun exhaled, tapping her forehead. "It's like you get a sick pleasure from tormenting me," she kinked her fingers close to the taller's neck, resisting the urge to strangle him. "I want to kill you so bad, Kim Seungmin."
Motionless and nonchalant, the black haired watched as she retreated her quivering hands, grabbing the edge of the table tightly. "Look, I'm sorry. I should've let your brother know you were on a roof snuggling some guy and telling him in detail how his scent makes you feel," Seungmin scoffed. "You're kinda deranged, Sun."
Seungmin's words didn't get to her, as per usual, all sounds were gone, drawing all her attention to the echoes in her head, silvery voices, enchanting her with demented commands.
But she couldn't annihilate him just yet, he was still a mystery to her. First, she knows why his mind is so out of reach, and then she gives him the slow painful death he deserves.
"Fuck you," Misun finally looked at him, the shade of pink smeared on her cheeks seizing his words. "That never happened, so just- just shut up, okay?"
"Okay?" Seungmin watched as she stormed off. "I guess."
Misun exited the library, still very angry, but all her rage halted when that strange voice in her head returned, the different one she was yet to figure out, and what scared her more was its comment.
'Please, blush more often.'
