The car ride to Hyunjin's house was mostly about the brown haired chattering to a disconnected Misun- who silently prodded if she really heard the voice in her head. It had always been those echo ever since the beginning, nothing new, but this one seemed a bit cross-examined. The car came to a sudden halt in a grande white house, deep blue roofs, a driveway leading up to the entrance, flowers and shrubs along the way, a couple lampposts situated every here and there, a gazebo a bit further into the garden.
Hyunjin was the first to jump out the car, quickly opening the door for her. "M'lady. . ." he bowed, his hand stretched out.
"Classy," Misun accepted the hand he offered, climbing down. "Your house is so pretty, Hyunjin."
"Believe me, My room is prettier," the taller jested, sending a quick wave to the Chauffeur. Hyunjin was always so cheery for reasons she didn't quite know yet. He would stop every time he came across a worker, holding light conversations with them. The gardener who was pruning the grasses and even when he took a quick detour to the kitchen, he stopped for a chit chat with the cooks. "And this is my friend, Misun."
"Hi. . ." Misun smiled at the older man.
"Yeah, she's super nice and smart," Hyunjin was finally done with raiding the refrigerator, passing a few bags for Misun to carry, the rest he had left overlapping his arms. "You're gonna love her, just like I do."
"I'm sure she's the sweetest," The brown haired beamed, helping Hyunjin shut the refrigerator's door, the shorter mumbling a low 'Thank you' before striding to his room.
"You're really quiet," The brunet dumped everything on his bed, turning to Misun, who was still trailing behind him. He tilted his head to the side, a light pout on his lips. "Did I make you uncomfortable?"
Misun shook her head, trying to convince him. "No, I'm just..." she trailed off, a sudden pause. "..Thinking."
"Are you thinking about those floating things?" Hyunjin heaved out a sigh of relief, glad that she wasn't feeling uncomfortable.
"Seungmin said they're called phantoms."
Hyunjin's brows creased, a thoughtful hum escaping his parted lips. "Phantom, can either mean; a ghost, an illusion or a figment of one's ima-" He suddenly stopped, gasping loudly. "Seungmin can see them too? Why didn't he tell me? Is that why he tried diverting the topic then? I knew he wouldn't grow a pair and kiss you! I'm calling him right now!"
Slightly taken aback, Misun tossed a packet of crisps at him, halting his ramble. "I don't think I'm supposed to say that, just don't tell him. Please."
"I'm not supposed to curse, but he's an asshole for not telling me, I thought we were friends."
"Maybe he has better reasons to," She held his arms, trying to get him to calm down. "Do you know who else can see them?" the shorter ran her fingers through his honey brown hair, intending for him to look at her.
And it did work, his rapid breathing decreasing. "No, I don't. I thought I was the only one left," Hyunjin huffed, his gaze flickering from her curious light hazel eyes to her lips pursed in anticipation.
"Hyunjin? What are you doing?" Misun leaned back, putting some distance between their faces.
"What am I do...ing?" He slipped out of his daze, observing how fretful she looked. "Shit. I'm so sorry. Oh my God!" the brown haired yelled into his hand, the other raking his hair in frustration. "What is wrong with me? I definitely made you uncomfor-"
Misun pressed her lips on his, words getting muffled. She quickly pulled off before he could return the kiss, smiling weakly at him. "See? I'm not offended, just tell me all that you know."
Hyunjin stared at her, agape. "Can you do that again?"
