Chapter 57: You Never Left Me

*On the road to The Golden Sun, is the Dragon's Maw. It was a bright sunny day, on days like these they would just relax, but Roxy had a bad feeling in her heart.

Roxy's POV:

"We need to hurry guys!" I tried to get the others to move faster but they were tired since we hadn't stop for a break yet.

"Roxy can you please tell us what's going on?" John complained, it's too embarrassing to tell them what's going on with me. They would definitely laugh at me which is something I do not need right now.

"Yeah Roxy, tell us what's going on! Also why haven't we bought horses yet!" Ludia complained to all of us but she makes a great point, frankly I blame the men.

"Simple, John and Cliff keeps buying ale after each mission so we don't have enough to spare for horses after everything we gotta pay." I told the group to which the men groaned because they know I'm right.

"It's just how we unwind after a stressful job Roxy, also don't act all innocent either. I see you drinking at the table too!" Cliff pointed out.

"A girl needs a drink every now and then. How about we actually save our money this time and buy some horses so maybe we don't have to feel drained all the time." I suggested.

"How about you ask your boyfriend to give us some horses, I am sure he would do anything for you." Ludia teased me and it always gets a reaction out of me, its just embarrassing for me.

"WILL YOU QUIT IT!" I yelled at her which caused them all to laugh so I sighed in defeat.

"Honestly she makes a good point though, also where are we even going? You just told us to follow you to the next city but you never said the name." Cliff said in his usual calm voice, looks like I have to face another wave of embarrassment.

"The Golden Sun..." I said while lowering my head.

"To visit your boyfriend? He's a lucky guy to have someone like you care for him!" Ludia teased again to which I hated, but having Y/N as my boyfriend would be nice. However, he's a King and I am just a commoner. The only way I could be with him would be as a concubine which is something I don't want, but...

"I just wanted to see Y/N again, I just have a bad feeling about something that's all." I told everyone, I will not tell them the reason no matter what!

"I think I know what this is about. You're worried that he has another woman in his life? A guy like could get who he wants and that's despite his looks." Ludia said like she was his biggest fan which rubbed me the wrong way, but he kissed me and not her so I shouldn't be worried.

"Correction babe, I think you mean women. Also I am right here you know?" John said in a irritated voice but we all laughed.

"Y/N isn't that kind of guy John, I am sure he would take one and be fine." Cliff argued with John and they went back and forth about it. A part of me thinks they want to be like him.

"Roxy since we are going there, tell him how you feel. I am sure he likes you but there is always another woman trying to get in the way. You don't want to lose him forever do you? Once you see him, you spill the beans." Ludia encouraged me, she had a point. I have to stop being shy about this stuff and just let it all out. Tell him how I really feel about him or maybe he'll tell me! Maybe he will greet me and take me away somewhere romantic where it is just the two of us!! Then maybe we will...

I slapped my head, "Focus Roxy." I said under my breath, I can't let this provocative thoughts get in the way. Anyways we should be getting close now, this road he built is the best. There is a small resting area up ahead that always has the best water and snacks, even beds! He makes adventuring around here so much fun, but I wish he would post some quests in his adventuring guild. I guess it makes sense that there wouldn't be any problem that he could fix himself, but I just want to be around here more often.
