Chapter 4: Unexpected Fight

A few hours went by, and its now beginning to turn into dusk. Lets see what Y/N and his companion, Oolong are doing.

Y/N POV:

"Its going to get dark soon Oolong, are you sure you know where the best area for a village is?" I complained due to me being tired. "Y-Yeah, we are almost there I swear!!" Oolong said with a sweat drop rolling down his face. "He's lying -_-" I thought to myself, but its fine because I have Shenron here! "Hey Shenron, I know I said I didn't need your help with finding an area but I was wrong. PLEASE HELP US SHEN-SAN!!!" Shenron responded, "I told you so. There is an area close to here that is perfect for a village, but the local goblins have already claimed it. Maybe you could negotiate with them for there land." I shuddered at the thought of stealing someone's land and kicking them out. That would be heartless of me, I know I am a Saiyan but I still have my morals! "I should meet the goblins anyway since I plan to build a village here" I sighed.

I decided to use mana sense since Shenron said the goblins were close but I sense two different groups there. One that is oddly similar to me then I realized that the Direwolves were attacking the goblins. "Oolong up ahead is a goblin village that is under attack let's help them out!" I yelled out and he nodded as response. I led the way towards the village and it took us a few seconds to get there at high speeds. 

Once we arrived we saw injured goblins are on the ground with all of the male goblins fighting back with spears and clubs. An elder was commanding them from afar and the women were protecting the children in their huts. I leaped into action with Oolong following behind me, as we crash landed in front of the wolves, I could see the fear in the wolves since they remembered who we were. I unleashed my Leader's ambition to force the wolves into submission and it worked quickly. With the wolves tamed, the goblins cheered in victory and the elder walked up to me, "Thank you, kind human, you saved our lives. May I have your name" he raises his shaking wrinkly hand towards me. I grab it and give it a firm shake, "I am no human, I am a Saiyan and my name is Y/N. There is also some things I would like to discuss with you." I state while smiling at him.

I told him about my offer which was to let us stay in the village along the Hou and if he were to let us then we can provide protection and build this village even further. If he didn't then that's fine we would just look elsewhere. We both sat down at a table in his hut, I could tell he was considering my offer, and to his right was his son. The elder agreed to my proposition but only on one condition, that I would be the village leader. "You want me to become the leader? Are you sure?"I asked confusingly and the elder explain his reasoning. "Well Y/N, I can no longer protect my people, I am weak and during the battle I could only hide behind others while telling them to risk their lives. I only want the best for my people. I know that we are monsters without names but I will do anything so that they can live. I respect you a lot Y/N, you decided to help us even though you didn't know us, we are inferior yet you give us a choice instead of taking, and with a leader like you around maybe we can survive next winter." He said depressingly.

I stood up, accepted his offer, and asked him if he would like to be named. He was ecstatic about the idea so I brazenly claimed that I would name all 30 villagers here. He thanked me profusely and I decided to get to work before I went to sleep. After a while, I named all 30 goblins but I felt incredibly drained so I asked Shenron what was occuring. "Whenever you give out a name, a bit of your mana is sent to empower the being you named. Most people cannot name 30 people like you, so you should be impressed. Do not worry, you will recover your mana when you are sleeping, but it might take 3 days." I was nervous because what would happen if I didn't eat or drink, man I wish I could prevent that.

"Your wish has been granted. New skill acquired: Self-Sustenance - You will never get tired, hungry or thirsty. Your body can sustain itself without issue. You have 2 wishes left for the year. " Shenron told me. I almost forgot about the Wish skill, but its powerful and limited to use it for everything, but this wish was worth it. However, I still felt tired from naming all those goblins so I guess I couldn't skip this. I lay down and closed my eyes and drifted asleep.
