Guys, sorry for the wait! I was busy preparing for my exams!

Enjoy Reading!!

Ruhanika

I was sitting in the car enjoying the outside view. It was a pleasant but silent ride. Bhaiya was driving the car while Papa was sitting in the front seat. I was sitting in the backseat. Maa had decked me in a formal shirt and pants that I didn't even knew I had. Overall, I was also looking as if I was working in an office. But, inside I was nervous. I didn't have any idea how to behave formally. However, the one thing that I was sure of after all this time is that my Papa and Bhaiya will always support me and will always be my side.

My trail of thoughts was interrupted by the sound of tires screeching. I looked outside to see that I had arrived. As usual, Bhaiya came out of the car and offered me his hand. Papa held my other hand and we walked towards the office building that looked very lavish.

As soon as we went inside the office, everyone stood up to greet them and they responded with a firm nod. I could feel everyone's eyes on my me, but I still kept my head high. I don't want to embarrass them in their own office. We then went towards an elevator and stood inside. As soon as the door got closed, I released a sigh and said, "It was so hectic! And why was everyone looking at me so intensely?"

Papa looked at me in concern and said, "Did they make you feel uncomfortable? Do you want me to fire them all? No... wait... I think I should fire them all! How dare they make my daughter feel uncomfortable!" I looked at him horrified and said gently, "Papa, there is no need to fire anyone. They did not make me feel uncomfortable. I was just nervous. Moreover, you can't go around firing everyone who makes me nervous!" Papa shook his head and said, "Yes, I can!"

I heaved a sigh and decided not to argue with him. There was no reason! He will definitely not understand.

After a while, the lift stopped and we entered on a floor that looked a bit secluded from the other floors. Must be secluded because they are the owners! Bhaiya then guided me towards a cabin on which President was written. I went inside the cabin. The room was all done in brown shades. I then asked, "Is this Papa's office?" Papa kept his hand on my shoulder and replied, "Yes dear... It is my office and you are going to spend most of you day here. After all, I didn't get to spend much time with you. There is always someone hogging your time. Therefore, today you will be spending most of your time with me only!"

To my surprise, Bhaiya whined and said, "Dad, let her spend some time with me too. I also haven't spent much time with her!" I never thought that Bhaiya will also want to spend the day with me. I always thought that he was annoyed by my presence. But nonetheless, I was very happy to hear this.

Before they could fight amongst themselves, I intervened and said, "Calm down... Calm down... I will spend half of my day with Papa and the other half with Bhaiya all right!" They nodded like a little child and I had the sudden urge to laugh at their expressions. Somehow, I controlled my laughter and said, "All right Bhaiya, now go to your cabin and let me spend some time with Papa."

After he left Papa ordered some snacks for me and to my utter delight, gave me a tab with a kindle account. It was heaven! Having snacks on a cozy couch, in an A.C. room along with books! After a while of enjoying myself, I heard a knock on the door. Papa asked them to come in. It was a man who looked to be around Papa's age but he was just as intimidating as Papa.

Papa stood up from his seat, went towards the man and hugged him. They then exchanged some pleasantries and the man suddenly looked towards me. His eyes became wide and he looked shocked. He then said, "Is it really Ruhi?" Papa nodded with a smile on his face and the man came towards me slowly. I was confused. Did I know this man? Who is he?

The man finally reached in front of me and exclaimed, "You have gotten so big, Ruhi! The last time I saw you, you were just a small baby!" He must have noticed the confused expression on my face which is probably why he then said, "Don't you recognize me? Well, who am I kidding, you were very small. You must have lost all your memories. But anyways, I am your father's friend, Jai Singh Rajput." I nodded a little and then greeted him.

He looked really overwhelmed to see me back, so I guessed that we must have been very close when I lived here. He then talked with my father about some business. Then, after a while, when the business talks were completed, they started a competition of telling me each other's most embarrassing moments. I had a hard time controlling my laughter. Never in my life, can I imagine these big buff guys having embarrassing moments.

After a while, Jai uncle stood up to leave and said, "Oh... Before I go, I wanted to tell you that Smita has invited you guys for dinner today. Don't be late, okay!" Papa nodded in response. After he left, I went back to read for some more time. Then I realized the time and said, "Papa it's time for me to go to Bhaiya's cabin. Can you please tell me the way?" Papa said, "I will take you there myself. What if you got lost?" I nodded in response, grateful that he decided to drop me there himself because as far as I know, I am very clumsy and the chances of me getting lost alone are ninety-nine percent chances of me, getting lost.

Papa then dropped me in front of Bhaiya's cabin and after many reassurances from my side, he finally left. As soon as he left, I knocked on the door. Bhaiya's strict voice answered, "Come in!" Hearing his strict voice, I was reminded of the day we tried to sneak out. I shook my head clearing my thoughts and finally opened the door.

Bhaiya looked up at me and smiled as soon as he saw me. I then moved my eyes to see a person sitting in front of him on the chair. By the way, he was sitting, I could easily conclude that he was Bhaiya's friend. OMG! Why am I even meeting everyone's friends today? But, keeping my thoughts aside, I smiled at them and entered inside.

Bhaiya then said, "Come Anika, meet him. He is my friend Rivek Malhotra and Rivek, she is my sister Ruhanika Agnihotri." I muttered a polite, "Hello!" to him and sat down on the couch. He smiled widely and exclaimed, "So this is the little sister that I have been hearing about. Nice to meet you." They then indulged in some talks of their own. After a while, Rivek Bhaiya stood up to leave and said, "Oh, and Divyank, please try to guide Amrit too in business!"

I quickly stood up and asked, "Are you, by any chance, talking about Amrit Malhotra, the one that recently shifted from Lucknow?" He nodded confused and asked, "Yes. I am his cousin, but how exactly do you know him?" I replied feeling giddy all of a sudden, "Well, you see... I am his best friend." He nodded and said, "So you are that Ruhanika. But you are Agnihotri and his friend was a Senghal." From the corner of my eyes, I noticed that Bhaiya's jaw clenched and he gritted out, "I will explain everything later. For now, leave."

Rivek Bhaiya nodded and left. Bhaiya then stood up and said, "Let's go Anika. Mom has called us home for lunch and moreover, we also have to attend lunch at Jai uncle's house in the evening."

I nodded and went behind him. I was excited to meet Jai uncle again along with the cutie pie Avyan, his son, and Manyu's friend that I met at his school. But I suddenly remembered that along with them I will also meet Arishit again today. My heart thumped in nervousness.
