I wanted to publish this chapter on Scrollstack but then I thought that I had made you guys wait enough, so here it is! Enjoy!

Ruhanika

I woke up feeling refreshed. Yesterday's events rang in my mind. It was an extremely enjoyable day. I hope today is also enjoyable. I didn't know what we would do today.

I stepped out of the bed and went to freshen up. Then I did my morning routine and took a shower.

I went downstairs to see that there was no one there except for Dadu. He was enjoying his tea. I went towards him and greeted him, "Good morning Dadu."

He looked towards me with softened eyes and responded, "Good morning to you too Bacha." I sat down near him and asked, "Are you very fond of tea?" He then replied playfully, "This tea is my life along with your Dadi and you."

"Oh Yeah! Well, too much sugar can cause you diabetes!"

"Jindagi ke chaar pal bache hain beta. Apni man pasand cheezon ka maza leke marein. Fir chahe humein diabetes hi kyu na ho jaye! "

(I just have to live life for a little while. I will die after enjoying my favorite things even though I get diabetes for it!)

Just then our talks were interrupted by someone, "What are you guys talking about?" I replied, "Nothing much Dadi. Dadu was just telling me how you are his life."

Dadi glared at Dadu. It was really funny seeing an intimidating man getting intimated by a 5'7 woman. This scene was so comical that I laughed out loud. Just then I felt someone picking me from behind. I got scared and shrieked. I was then seated down on another couch. I then heard a chuckling sound and looked at the culprit.

It was Papa!

I whined, "Come on, Papa, you can't do that." Just then two people entered. Maa from the kitchen, and Bhaiya from the stairs. Maa then asked glaring at us, "What is all this commotion about? " All of us looked at each other and then smiled innocently. She just shook her head at our antics.

I noticed Bhaiya sitting on the couch along with his laptop. I realized that we hadn't talked much. So, I went and at beside him with the complete intention of annoying him.

"Hi Bhaiya!"

"Hi Anika. Good morning."

"Come on Bhaiya! Such a plain good morning. The least you could do is pass me a smile along with it."

He smiled tightly. I was laughing internally seeing his condition. As I was about to tease him a little more, Maa interrupted, "Ruhi beta, can you please go and wake up Abhi, till the time I am waking everybody else up and setting up the breakfast."

"Sure Maa." I, of course, had no problem in waking Manyu up. He was such a sweetheart, unlike most of my brothers who gave such weird reactions when I went to wake them up.

I went upstairs to Manyu's room and entered inside. It was a perfect room fit for a child. He had a car bed and the majority of his room was filled with cartoon posters. He was wrapped up in his sheets like a burrito. Adorable!

I went beside him and ran my hands in his hair. "Manyu, wake up baby! It is morning already." Finding a little space, I sat beside him. I once again tried to wake him up. "Come on, baby, wake up." He shifted his head on my lap and groggily opened his eyes. After a minute or so, he sat up on the bed and rubbed his eyes. He then looked at me and said in a low voice with a sweet smile on his face, "Good Morning Di!"

Haa! This is how you wish someone Good morning. Not like bhaiya who couldn't even give me a proper smile while wishing me.

I then helped him freshen up, take a bath, and get him ready in his school uniform, all the while hearing his cute ramblings. My heart was swimming in a pool of adorableness after all the time I spent with him.

I went downstairs with Manyu and went into the dining room. Dadu, Dadi, Papa, Bhaiya, and Darsh Bhai were already seated there. Just then I saw Maa coming down.

She looked at me and exclaimed, "Ruhi beta, you have already woken up Abhi!"

"Yes, Maa and he is ready for school."

"Well then, from now on, waking and getting Abhi ready is your job. I have never seen him getting ready this fast. It takes me at least half an hour to wake him up and then another hour and a half to get him ready for school." She was looking at me as if I was a big wonder. Looks like my little Manyu is very mischievous.

"Sure Maa." I was happy to help her in some way. She had accepted me like her own daughter knowing that I was the child of her husband's ex-wife. She gave me the love of a mother even when my own mother did not love me. I had suddenly barged into her happy life and she did not even hesitate to accept me. So, I was indeed grateful for all she had done for me.

My musings were interrupted by Darsh Bhai who smiled at me warmly and then greeted me, "Good morning Sunshine." I greeted him in return.

Suddenly, someone entered the dining room. I looked towards the door to see that it was Nishant Bhai. Then slowly all the rest of the three also joined us- first the twins and then my twin.

When all of us were seated, we started our breakfast. As usual, the couples served each other and Ansh served me. I, first of all, made Manyu eat as he was insisting I make him eat with his own hands. At first, I was about to deny but then I saw his puppy eyes and finally relented. Then I had my breakfast.

Today, Manyu was very happy because Papa was going to drop him off at his school. I understood that he must have been so happy about Papa agreeing to drop him as it must have been a rare occasion due to Papa being busy.

As they were at the door, a sudden idea struck me and I went to them and asked Papa shyly, "Can I also come to drop Manyu off?" I was afraid that he would deny me and think that I was trying to intrude too much into their lives.

Before he could even answer Manyu exclaimed loudly, "Yes! Yes! No, I can even show my friend that I also have a big sissy!" I smiled a little and then looked towards Papa for approval. He nodded slightly with a smile. I ran inside the house to grab my shoes so that I could head out. While running I bumped into something hard. I looked up to see that it was Arhaan Bhai, the silent twin. He helped me stabilize myself and then said, "Be careful and don't run." He was in his school uniform. I was about to thank him but then he got a call and left while talking to someone.

I went upstairs, wore my shoes, and came back downstairs all the while thinking that Arhaan Bhai might be silent but there was one thing that no one could deny.

He cared!
