Chapter 19

Jessies POV

Two months has passed since Daniel has been released from the hospital which means two moons has passed since I was declared his favorite person. Now does that mean that he has been letting me slack at work? Heck no! He has actually been more demanding at work and sometimes it feels as though his a petulant child when I don't want to show him affection at work, I've spoken to him about my reasons and told him that my reputation is very important to me and should be preserved and also that I would never have even given dating him a second thought if he and I did not happen to live with each other before he became my boss. He just said I wouldn't have been able to resist his charm, as if.

He has planned a date for tonight as it is Saturday and Sarah is going to be watching Jared at my apartment while I'm out. So here we are, being seated in the restaurant at the Lux hotel. "This place is lovely, a tad bit too fancy though. You sure know how to tread a girl." I said while glancing around. There was a crystal chandelier hanging above our heads, set on the dim mode and a fireplace alight that gave the room a soft and relaxing atmosphere.

The tables had white and gold table cloths and a small bouquet of red roses as a centerpiece, it looked wonderful. "It's one of my grandfathers, I hardly come to this one though, it's a bit to intimate to just bring anyone too." I heard Daniel say, bringing me back to the present.
"You flatter me but you know you don't have to spoil me, I'm happy with any meal as long as it's spent with you." I felt a bit shy at just how cheesy that sounded. "That's exactly why I want to spoil you baby. You don't feel inclined to it, it's not an obligation for me to do it and that's what makes it all the more special and heartfelt, because it's not a necessity but it's a desire of mine love." He said and reached out for my hand and his words just hit home.

I always dreamed of having someone who wanted to do sweet things for me, not because I couldn't do them for myself but because they loved me so much that they just felt like doing it.

Now I'm not jumping the gun and assuming that Daniel is in love with me because that would be a dangerous thing to do, I mean with his track record with girls and all that but I'm just saying that he checks out. "Thank you, that's sweet of you babe."

We ordered our meals and then spoke some more, there was no office talk, we just tried to learn more about each other and our pasts when Daniel suddenly asked me something but I missed it due to my laugher about one of his funny childhood memories about him trying to steal chocolate cookies from his moms oven tray but it resulting in the whole tray falling from the kitchen countertop.

"Excuse me? What was that, I kinda missed it." I said as I now took a sip of my orange juice, "I said how would you feel about moving In with me?" he said and it took me by surprise. "Do you not think its too soon in our relationship?"
"no, I don't, we lived together before so why not?" he retorted. " well because we were not dating at that time and I should probably tell you that I'm saving myself for marriage so if this is just a plot to have us sleep together then it won't work." I said and actually felt bad for sounding so rude about the situation.

"it's not a plot for anything, I just miss having you around all the time and it doesn't make sense to live alone now that we've started dating, it's like we doing everything in the wrong order. We first lived together when we hated each other, then moved out and started dating. I would've asked you to marry me instead of move in with me but I'm sure it would only freak you out since you might think it's too soon." He rambled on and I don't think he realized what he just said. "what did you say about marriage?" he froze and his eyes widened the slightest bit. "urh. I didn't mean to say that but yeah. I see myself marrying you some day and I hope you feel the same way or this relationship is pointless."
