Sounds of papers being shuffled lightly could be heard inside the Emperor's study. Xian Long Wei was reading various reports from the ministers and generals when one of his shadow guards appeared in front of him. He merely raised an eyebrow and the man quickly reported to him.

Yi An kneeled, "The future Empress is here."

"Oh," Xian Long Wei put down his brush and gave his attention to the shadow guard.

"Currently, Future Empress is in the General Bai's office and he is with Zhang Changming, the new recruit."

Xian Long Wei nodded his head slightly and Yi An immediately vanished from his view. He frowned. Zhang Changming? If he didn't guess wrong, the man was a son of Zhang Liqin, Lady Bai's personal attendant.

From all the men that knew of his Chen Chen, this was the only one that grew up alongside Zhan Chen. He was the other men that was closed to his beloved beside Bai Jian Yu.

Pushing his brush and reports aside, Xian Long Wei stood up and waved his hand to the Head Eunuch to not following him. The old Head Eunuch nodded his head in understanding and stayed behind to help with tidying the unfinished reports.

Walking out of his study, the Emperor calmly headed to where General Bai's office was. At the way, servants and soldiers kneeled down before he dismissed them with the flick of his long sleeve.

Xian Long Wei's study was in the private courtyard of the Emperor. While, General Bai's office was at the Military Administration building. It didn't take long for him to reach the place.

When he arrived at the door, he heard some voices from inside and stopped from knocking. Usually, there would be a person who announced the Emperor's arrival but he didn't want to alert anyone.

He eavesdropped, yes, the esteemed Emperor was eavesdropping in people's conversation.

Shadow guards: "......" Day by day, it was getting hard to watch His Majesty's actions.

Ignoring the man, Xian Long Wei walked forward and grasped his beloved's thin shoulders to stop him from kneeling, "It's fine. Stand up. Both of you don't have to kneel down." Ignoring the other man, he smiled at the young ger, "How are you, Chen Chen?"

Xian Long Wei looked at the flustered ger and chuckled softly, ah, his Chen Chen was still the cutest. Rubbing his head, "it's fine to call me that, as long as there's no one beside me and your family."

Afterwards, he was gifted with the most beautiful smile from his dear ger and Zhan Chen started to introduce the man who had long deemed non-existed by him. Xian Long Wei decided to give Zhang Changming some face because of his beloved had tried to introduce him. He gave a slight nod and his face was expressionless, just like when he talked to the others.

"Zhang Changming greeting His Majesty. This servant has known Zhan Chen since he was a little baby and he is like a little brother to me."
