The day was very, very bright. The sky was blue and the white clouds decorated the sky. The weather was starting to get warmed, which signalled the upcoming of summer and leaving behind the spring.

Zhang Changming sighed. Today was it. He was required to be back to the military training camp. Aish, just when he was about to deepen their feelings, his holiday already ended.

He bid good bye to his father and mother before he went to the Bai's Manor to see his sweet, sweet ger. Holding a bundle of tied up clothes in one hand, he walked steadily through the familiar dusty road.

Sometimes, he missed the modern things but since he had been living here for twenty years, it wasn't that unbearable anymore. In fact, he loved the fresh air and the stars filled night sky.

He smiled when he thought that Zhan Chen was here with him.

He never thought that his wish that night before his death would bring Zhan Chen to him.

That man had said that he wouldn't be able to allow two lives to intersect. So, he wished for the younger to live a happy and easy life.

However, here they were. Though, he was the first to arrive at this world but Zhan Chen was also here, even if he was late for twenty years.

They were finally united.

He greeted the uncle who guarded the gate before he entered the main building. Through the main building, he passed through the familiar hallways and corridors. He greeted the Bai's couple at first before Lady Bai told the servant to bring him to Zhan Chen's courtyard. Currently, Zhan Chen was in a pavilion and was relaxing while he read a book.

Zhan Chen was sitting on a cushion as he read a book. He was wearing a simple two layered pastel yellow hanfu. His long black hair was not tied, he just letting it flow down his back like a midnight waterfall. The sunlight fell and lightly caressed his fair and soft skin, his long and dark eyelashes lightly casting a shadow on his face. His pink bow shaped lips were full and moist. Zhan Chen moved a strand of hair to the back of his ear as he leaned lazily on the table.

This was a sight that Zhang Changming encountered when he arrived at the pavilion. He could feel his throat was parched dry. He suddenly was thirsty.

Zhan Chen feeling there was someone staring at him, looked up from his book and saw the dazed man.

"Ming Ge?"

The dazed man quickly woke up and smiled at the ger. "Xiao Tang, I'm here to visit you."

"Why are you being polite? Sit down first." Zhan Chen gestured to the cushion opposite him and closed his book before he set it aside. He poured tea into a cup and pushed it to the man.

"Thanks, Xiao Tang ah. But, Ming Ge won't be long here," Zhang Changming took a sip from the teacup.

Zhan Chen whined. "Ah, I thought you're here to bring me out."

Zhang Changming chuckled as he leaned forward and rubbed the ger's head lovingly. "I would love to but unfortunately, I need to go back to the army training camp."

He sighed.

"I'm here just to visit you. Well, Xiao Tang ah, you should take care and be careful. And..." He paused. He wanted to ask about the engagement but was afraid to hear the answer. What if, it was the ger himself who agreed to the proposal?

Then, won't he have no chance anymore?

He stared at the ger and shook his head. He wasn't going to ask. Blamed him for being a coward but he was afraid of the answer.

"Please take care of yourself. Don't go anywhere alone and make sure to always have people with you. This world is not safe like ours." Zhang Changming said and stood up. "Ming Ge will go first. We will meet again when I have the break."
