FW NEGLECT AND VIOLENCE

It was a week after her mom left.

I woke up really early today because it's my birthday!! I'm turning six! Maybe Mommy will come back to bring me a present! I haven't seen her in a while. Nobody really. Daddy said he was going to live with his "new family" and wasn't coming back. That makes me sad. I'm hungry so I scrounge around for some food when the doorbell rings. It's big brother!!! "Ohmygoshohmygosh HIIIII!" Ace looks around sheepishly "Hey Aspen! How are you?" I sighed "Hungry. I can't cook." He looked confused. But then I saw my sister! "HI IVEE!!!" I yelled. "Hi Aspen! How's my birthday girl?" I smiled "Exited. Like the mostest exited." She gave me a biiiiiiig hug and looked at my bother confused "What's wrong?" Ace looked at me "Why does cooking matter Aspen?" I shrugged "Daddy said he was leaving to go to his new family and wasn't coming back, so I can't get food. Not like he was feeding me much anyways." My siblings looked very ragey. "That little" My sister said some words that I can't repeat. "You want this one?" She asked my brother. "Yep. Let's go fam." Sis looked back at me and said "Get some shoes and we can be off." I ran back inside to get my favorite shoes their yellow high tops! I came back out and asked my sister for help. She quickly tied my shoes and we headed out to big brothers car. "Hop in team." He said. We got in and we started speeding down the road. "Tracking him now. Looks like he's a couple miles away. Turn here." My sister said. Soon enough we were at a big house. It was very nice looking. We all hopped out and went up to the door and Ace knocked. Soon enough daddy showed up at the door. "What do you lot want. And what is she doing here?" My dad turned and glared at me. Ivee stepped in front of me. "Coming to question you." He sighed and let us in. "Not the disappointment though. She doesn't deserve to know anything. What are you looking at *REDACTED*" I shivered. Hot tears started streaming down my face. Why me? What did I do? Why am I the disappointment? He then and tried to swing at me. Ace had clearly lost it and started attacking dad. Ivee dragged me out the house and gave me something called a iPod? She said it was old but you could play all sorts of games and music on it. She typed in Taylor Swift for me and played it and then told me to sit in the car while she got our brother.

Ace got in big trouble for lashing out at someone and "not following space chicken's protocol." He didn't care though. Father barley escaped with his life and to this day no one knows where he is. Maybe he died alone. Maybe he had another affair. Who knows? A story for the ages.
