Kelly's PoV

It's said that the most stressful moments in life are, moving house, dealing with a death of a loved on and planning a wedding, and boy is the wedding planning proving to be just that.  for the past year our lives had been overtaken by work, and wedding planning. if we weren't at work we would be at another potential venue or wedding fayre. the only part I enjoyed the most was all the cake testing. Stella on the other hand seemed to be enjoying it all, she was definitely in her element, and was excited to be able to plan the wedding of her dreams, and no matter how many disagreements and tiffs it stirred up between us, we communicated and refused to go to bed angry at each other and all the stress somehow we managed to finalise all the plans and set the date.

Exactly a year on from Brett and Casey's wedding, we were now about to celebrate ours. despite the remarks about not wanting the big white wedding, it certainly left a big dent in both of our finances. but I knew deep down I would have gone broke to give her, her dream wedding and hopefully seeing that smile on her face today will be worth it.

Stella had stayed at Matt and Brett's last night whilst Matt came here as my best man he wanted to make sure I got up on time and didn't screw anything up, Brett and Violet were Stella's bridesmaids so they all had a girls night last night away from me, sticking to the tradition of the bride not allowing to see the groom the night before.

I was sat on the chair in the living room bouncing my left leg with nerves when Matt came through now fully dressed, I was still yet to fasten my tie and put my waistcoat and blazer on "you not ready yet?" I hear Matt shout over to me as I just shake my head "come on you don't want to be late, it's not traditional for the groom to be late" Matt says pulling my tie from my hand and wrapping it around my shirt collar as I sit up.

"Do you think she's having second thoughts?" I ask Matt nervously as he heads over to the kitchen, he looks over at me from the table and laughs "you're kidding right, I've never seen a more suited pair than you two, and nothing is gonna stop them I do's coming from the both of you" he says pouring a shot of whiskey into two whiskey glasses.

I watch him walk over to me as he hands me one "dutch courage" he says as I chuckle and take hold of the glass he clinks his with mine as we both take the shot, feeling the burning sensation as it travels down my throat, I shake my head and blow out a little feeling the cool relief in my breath as we both laugh.

"Now get up and fix that tie, we got a wedding to get to" he tells me coming around the back of me and grabbing my shoulders and shaking me excitedly.

the wedding guests were told to be at the crystal gardens for 11:30 with the ceremony expecting to start at 12, but I was aiming to get there for 11 just to do any last minute touches and make sure everything looked perfect.

i exhaled deeply as I stood up and finished fastening my tie, flattening my collar down before grabbing my waistcoat of the rail and putting it on. I hear Matt's phone buzz as i look at him reading a text "that's Brett...shes checking in and making sure you've not gone MIA" matt says as I laugh and grab my phone going onto mine and stella's chat and sending her a text

"morning Fiance, not long until I can no longer call you that and you officially become my Wife, Mrs Stella Severide, I can't wait to see you at that isle, I can't wait to finally marry you please dont keep me waiting too long, P.s make sure you remove the hair band from your wrist"  I send her the text then put my phone in my pocket before putting my blazer on.

"oh Cruz just text me, he's outside" I hear Matt say as I check my watch and see it was 10:39, right on time, he was driving me and matt to the venue and asked him to pick us up for 10:40.
