the next morning, jimin woke up after his alarms clock went off and he snoozed it three times.

still sleepy, with puffy blush cheeks and messy hair he stumbled into the bathroom to get splash water into his face. it was saturday and last night was probably the best sleep he has had in a very long time.

after talking to jungkook over the phone he felt so tired and sleepy that he didn't wake up until the next morning which was a very rare occasion for him.

he had to chuckle while watching himself brushing his teeth in the bathroom mirror.

he has actually called jungkook.

he knew it was the panic attack that made him do something so drastic but still... in that situation it felt kinda right.

maybe it was his vibe, his patience and the calmness that he brought into every room he entered. no matter how giddy jungkook's visuals made him, he calmed him down at the same time.

jimin shook his head trying to get the thoughts of the boy out of his head.

after sending a quick apology text to jungkook, jimin felt a little better, though the thought of last night still made him cringe. at least tae would distract him at uni, hopefully.

as soon as jimin arrived on campus, tae was waiting for him, leaning against the wall, and grinned when he spotted jimin.

"chim! look alive, we've got an important mission today."

jimin laughed, immediately falling into step with his best friend. "oh no, what is it?"

"operation survive class without falling asleep," tae announced dramatically, slinging an arm over jimin's shoulders. "it's going to be tough, but together, we can do it."

jimin snorted, rolling his eyes. "we barely survived last time. i'm not ready to get my brain fried again"

"me neither, man. me neither. life's not good"

they both burst into laughter, earning curious looks from a few students passing by. jimin didn't care, though. when he was with tae, it was easy to forget about everything else - the stress, the embarrassment, the overthinking. tae had a way of pulling him out of his shell, making him feel lighter, freer.

in class, they tried to concentrate and focus on statistics but tae kept the jokes coming, nudging jimin and whispering ridiculous comments under his breath, making it nearly impossible for jimin to keep a straight face.

they were a deadly combination, one funnier than the other.

by the end of the lecture, jimin's cheeks hurt from smiling so much. "we're going to get kicked out of class one day because of you," he said, still as they walked out.

"nah, they love us," taehyung said confidently. "we're the life of this dull place."

after uni, they headed to the flower shop, where jimin's mom was busy arranging a display of sunflowers. tae immediately plopped himself down by the counter, ready to gossip with her as usual.
