Metal Cage

8 1 2

Life flies by in a blink of an eye

And the time flied by too fast.

I'm left stranding here, all alone,

Not known of my mental age,

Just that I'm trapped in a metal cage.

Left, right, up, and side to side,

There seems to be no escape.

Down seems to be the only way out,

But it is always a cowards way.

Stay, stay, stay, and don't turn back;

The past is a cruel place.

Stay, stay, stay, and don't look front;

The future is a scary place.

Jump, jump, jump, and don't you land;

The present is a scorching place.

Fly, fly, fly, but not too far;

There's a roof above your head.

Cry, cry, cry is all I do,

Cause no one sees my tears.
