The cliff

That's a nice cliff, I say.

Yes, it is. It is, everyone says

Unaware of the storm that brews

Behind my calm facade.

This is a nice cliff, I say,

As I inch towards its edge.

Yes, it is! Yes, it is! Everyone says,

Cheering for an adventure

Unaware of my plans in mind.

This really is a nice cliff, I say

My voice droping down to a whisper.

Nicer than the life I endure,

And a whole lot peaceful, I'm sure.

This is a very nice cliff, I say.

Yes, it is. Yes, it is, everyone says,

As my leg dangles over the edge,

My life finally coming to an end.
