She had caught up with almost every cat, but there was one she still hadn't talked with.
Branch.
Their last meeting wasn't exactly positive, and he hoped to clear things up with a good friend she didn't want to lose.
She looked around for him for a while, but hadn't caught sight of him yet. Instead, she looked around for his father, Bush where mice hide. His mother had died during kitting him, which is what had brought them together in the first place. They had both lots their mothers. She spotted bush, and padded over to him.
''Its good to see you again, Bush Where Mice Hide.'' He turned around with a surprised and pleased expression.
''It is good to see you, Willow That Shines At Dawn.''
Willow stared into Bush where mice hide's eyes. He looked sadly back at her.
''He's gone?''
''Yes, Im so sorry.''
Willow bowed her head.
''Im sorry for your loss too. How did he die?'' Bush was tearing up, and tears were already trickling down Willow's face.
''Sharptooth, same night as you were seperated from Dandelion.'' He mewed sadly.
''Oh Branch...'' She closed her eyes and tried not to imagine Branch's dying screams, or Dandelion coming across his dead body, and getting caught by sharptooth. She tried to push away all her thoughts, so she could just focus on Branch. Her heart ached, and a dull burn throbbed in her head.
''Thank you for letting me know.'' She got ready to turn away, looking back at Bush.
''Of course. i wish you well, Willow. Branch from fallen tree will run with you.'' He nodded at her.
''Thank you. I wish you well.'' Willow turned and walked away, and saw Sunny padding out of stoneteller's tunnel. She tilted her head, her sadness washed away by a surge of confusion.
What was he doing in Stoneteller's cave?
