Willow That Shines At Dawn's ears twitched. She opened her eyes, a cold mist surrounded her muzzle, and she lifted her head slowly, her eyes narrowed and sore with grief. Tears had stained her soft cheeks, which had hardened onto her face in long, dark streaks.

Willow peered down at her paws, and caught sight of the grey rabbit she had dug out the night before. She looked upon it, and twisted it around with a sniffle. She opened her maw, and set her teeth in it, all while shivering violently. She took a bite out of the cold hard flesh, struggling to rip off a chunk from the frozen corpse. she bit down hard on the body, tearing off chunk from the rabbits hindquarters. She she found it difficult to chew, and her throat clicked and her mouth refused to swallow. She forced it down, and soon realised how hungry she was. She ripped off more of the rabbits fur, ripping its side open with her claws and tearing off more bites.

After finishing the rabbit, she eluded the dugout, padding outside with a shivering anatomy. She looked about her, her gaze tracing the alabastic landscape. She stifiled a sniff, padding forward, down the mountain. She winced with every step, her muscles tense. Sadness Emanated from her pelt, the birds silencing as she emerged from the trees.

She would have to be careful and move slowly, but the determination to honor Sunny's sacrifice drove her forward.

Gradually, she began to make her way down the slope, her senses alert for any sign of danger. The wind whispered through the trees, and the occasional creak of branches echoed in the stillness of the mountains. The only sound that lingered in the frosty air was the sound of snow melting, a gentle sloshing and tapping that guided her down into the valley. She walked parallel to a stream, its gentle flow trickling with it's sound resonating and bouncing off the walls on the cliffs, which were either side of her now, trapping her between tall, long walls, forever casting dark shadows upon her, yearning maternal warmth, stood frozen in time. They cocooned her, sheilding her from the worst of the wind, and she wordlessly thanked them, her head low as she followed the stream.

The ground had begun to level out, the stream having occasional and random pools of frigid water, before trickling down again. He feet hurt, and he ankles were throbbing. At least her thighs weren't bleeding anymore. She new she had to get off the mountains. she had to start afresh. She ventured lower, for hours, until at last, the snow stopped. It was still cold, but spring was coming fast.

It's been almost a year since i saw Dandelion. She thought, stopping abruptly, her gaze tracing the pale buds sprouting from the ground.

''And probably the last.'' She mumured, looking back up at the towering mountains.

I will never go back. The wind whistled, her old home beconing her, calling out shrilly tempting her to turn back.

She fought back against the lingering yearning for home, turning away. She bolted, running beside the stream, much alike the one she used to drink from after she lost Dandelion. She ran, blood pumping around her frozen body, and she strained her legs, galloping as fast as her legs could muster. She began to slow down, her legs aching from overextertion.

A vast forest approached, and she paused nervously at it's entrance, its rooty and flowery scent infusing her pelt.

It's already newleaf here? She thought, casting a glance at a cluster of newly opened daffodils. The sun had begun to dip, it's warm rays slowly dying. She stayed outside the forest, but curled up underneath a tree. A hoot whistled through the trees, but she took no notice. She was already fast alseep, a small, grey, exhausted bundle, wrapped around itself while the light dwindled in the air, before disappearing without a warning.
