Chapter 3

Emily POV

It's been a week since Hardin's nightmare and he still hasn't told me what happened in his dream. I know he loves to keep everything inside him but I want to know what happened and why he called his mom's name.

"He still didn't tell you about his nightmare?" Landon asked me

I told Landon what happened to Hardin this past week about his nightmares and how Hardin won't tell me anything about it.

"Nope. Every time I would bring it up he would push me away and say none of business. It goes back to grumpy Hardin again" I told him

"And you're telling me his nightmare is about his mother?" Landon asked me

"Yes and how those two put together? Did something happen to his mother when he was younger? Like what happened?" I asked him

"It's not my place to say. If I tell you then he would kill me. Maybe sit him down today and talk about it. Does he have work today?" Landon asked me

Hardin is working at Vance Publishing which is a book publishing company where one of Hardin's father's friends owns it. Hardin has been working there for years now and he is working there after school to earn some money.

"No he doesn't. Maybe I could talk to him tonight" I told him

"Yeah you can. If he doesn't listen then you have to guide him to the couch then let him sit his ass down then" he said and I chuckled

"Alright I'll do that" I said as I ate my sandwich

"So, you and Hardin sleeping on the same bed. How did that feel?" Landon asked me with a smirk on his face

"Shut up and wipe that smirk out of your face. We didn't do anything. We just slept in the same bed and he held me because apparently that's how his nightmares goes away" I told him

"Aww that's cute" Landon said sarcastically

"Shut up" I told him

"Alright I will" he said and with that we went to eat our lunch

"Where were you today after school?" I asked Hardin as he walked into the dorm

"I went to hangout with some friends. Did Landon drop you off?" Hardin asked as he put his bag on his bed

"Yeah he did and Hardin" I told him

"Yeah?" he asked

"Can we talk?" I asked him

"Uh oh. This is serious Emily. What am I trouble for now?" Hardin asked jokingly and I giggled

"You're not in trouble just sit" I told him and he sat down on the couch

"Okay I sat down" he said and I sat beside him

"Can I ask you something?" I asked him

"You want to know what happened in my nightmare don't you?" he asked me

"How did you know?" I asked him

"Well, you've been asking me all week and also Landon told me you were going to ask me" he said

"Wow. I can't believe Landon told you but anyways, can I ask you what is it about?" I asked him

"Sure if you promise not to tell anyone expect for Landon because he already knows" he said

"Yeah. By the way how does he know?" I asked him

"Slept over at his house and we both sleeping in the same room. He witnessed me having a nightmare and then the next day I told him" he said
