Chapter 12

One month anniversary

Hardin POV

Today is Emily's and I one month anniversary. I still can't believe how Emily put up with my shirt. I still have those nightmares almost every day and I'm still grumpy but Emily doesn't care. She is trying to fix me and even though I don't tell her I appreciate her trying to fix whenever she can.

Since it's our anniversary today Emily and I have been looking for an apartment to live in. Our dorm is too small so we thought to live in an apartment together. I've been researching the past few weeks with for a good apartment that will fit everything that we had and that close to our campus.

This morning I left the house and I just told Emily that I'm going over to Zed's house for a bit then we can go out for our anniversary. I have the whole day planned and she doesn't know any of it. I'm not going to Zed's house. I'm going to our retailers office to get the keys for our apartment. It's crazy to say that. That I'm going to live with someone who I genuinely love. I still can't believe I'm saying that. I haven't told her I love her yet but that will happen tonight.

I just arrived at the retailers office and there was a lady behind the front desk. I gave her a fake smile as she was smiling at me.

"Hi I'm looking for Katie" I told her

"Yes she's here. You can go up to her office" she told me and I nodded

I went upstairs to Katie's office who is the retailer that I hired to help me out with all of these paperwork's and stuff. As I got to her office I knocked on the door and Katie came to open it.

"Hardin Scott. Nice to see you again" Katie said as she stood up

"Nice to see you too" I told her

"How are you? Your girlfriend isn't with you today?" she asked me

"No she's not. I'm going to tell her about the apartment later" I told her

"Okay. I will give you the keys and these papers. I want her to sign it to and you can bring it to me tomorrow" she told me and I nodded

"Alright I'll bring it tomorrow. Thank you Katie for helping me with everything" I told her

"No problem. Just text or call if you need anything else" she told me and I nodded

I said goodbye and left her office with the paperwork's and the keys that she gave me. I hid the paperwork somewhere else that Emily can't see. After half an hour I got to the dorm and Emily immediately gave me a hug. I chuckled and hugged her back.

"Hello to you too" I told her

"I missed you" she said as she looked at me

"I missed you too but I was only gone for half an hour" I told her

"Too long" she whined and I chuckled

She giggled as I picked her up slightly and I took her to my bed. I laid her down and hovered over her. I looked at her to see she's wearing a pair of jeans and a light blue blouse.

"Are you going to wear something over your blouse?" I asked her and she looked at me

"Is it cold?" she asked me

"It's a little bit cold. I just don't want you to get sick. We all know how you get sick easily in this cold weather" I told her and she smiled "What?" I asked her

"I like how you like to take care of me. That means you like me don't you?" she asked me

"I don't know I'm I supposed to like you?" I asked her jokingly
