Chapter 7

Emily POV

I finally convinced Hardin to go to his father house. Ken is having a party at his with his fiancé Karen and Landon. Their wedding is next weekend and they're just having a party at their house. From Hardin, I just know his dad has a big house and Landon lives in it with his mom.

I just took a shower and I wrapped my towel around my body and got out of the shower. I'm stupid because I forgot to get my clothes that I'm going to wear today and it's out on my bed. Hardin is out there and I don't want him to see me like this. I got out of the bathroom with my towel and Hardin wasn't here. Finally.

"Emily" I heard Hardin say

Darn it. I was so close.

I turned to see him to see his eyes wide.

"Oh ok. Where's your clothes?" he asked me

"On my bed. I forgot to bring it" I told him as I grabbed my clothes

"Oh but you always bring your clothes in the bathroom" he said

"I know and I forgot" I told him

As I was going to the bathroom Hardin stopped me.

"What do you want Hardin? I need to get dressed" I told him

"I don't know. You just look different" he said

"It's because I'm almost naked you dummy" I told him

He walked closer to me and I looked at him. I kind of froze at my spot because I don't know what to do. I never kissed anyone but I feel like he was going to. Okay, the past couple of days I did have feelings for Hardin but I know he doesn't date so I know I don't get the hope. We leaned closer to each other and I could feel his lips but it's not on mines yet. It's so close though. I jumped a little because the toaster went off.

Stupid freaking toaster.

"I'm going to go change" I told him nervously

"Okay. I'm just going to make something for us to eat so we don't eat anything poison over there" he said

"You're so mean. You know I don't mind eating at your dads house" I told him

"And get poisoned. No thank you" he said

I chuckled and went  to the bathroom.

What the heck just happened?

"Thank you" I told Hardin as he opened the door for me

"You're welcome" he said

We are back to being friends. We both haven't talked about what happened earlier which I'm so glad he didn't bring it up.

"You're ready to leave this hell hole early?" Hardin asked me and I rolled my eyes

"Don't be mean. Be on your best behaviour tonight. Got it" I told him

"What if I'm not?" he asked with a smirk on his face and I feel like he's thinking about how we almost we kissed and I blushed a little bit "Why are you blushing? Hmm?" he asked as he nudged me "Is it because what we almost did earlier?" he whispered to me which sent me shivers down my spine

"Shut up" I told him and he laughed

We walked into the house and this house is big.

"Wow" I said and Hardin looked at me

"Yeah I know it's big. I told you" he said

"I knew it was big. I didn't know it was this big" I told him and he smiled
