Taylor hummed softly to herself as she packed for the upcoming leg of her tour. Her hands worked methodically, folding clothes and organizing essentials into neat piles. Amongst the usual tour prep items were her medications, inhalers, and other medical supplies—everything she needed to manage her health while on the road. Despite the task at hand, her attention was split between her suitcase and the conversation she was having with Travis Kelce, a new face in her life who was quickly becoming something much more.

"You seriously have to try it, Tay," Travis' voice came through from the phone, a laugh dancing behind his words. "Kansas City barbecue is the real deal. I'll bring you some next time you're here. You won't regret it."

Taylor chuckled, glancing over at the screen where Travis' face filled the frame, his infectious grin brightening her mood. "You're hyping it up so much! What if it's not as amazing as you say?"

"If it's not," Travis leaned closer to the camera, voice low and teasing, "I'll owe you the biggest apology of my life."

Taylor's laughter filled the room, and for a moment, she forgot about the pile of medications she was organizing. "Deal. But no matter what, you're going to owe me something, mister." She winked playfully at him.

As their playful banter continued, Taylor's hand hovered over a collection of small prescription bottles. She carefully packed each one, explaining to Travis in passing about her routine. "This is my life now, huh? Packing for a tour used to just be outfits and music gear, but now... it's this." She motioned toward the various medications and supplies.

Travis' expression softened as he listened, clearly intrigued. "I had no idea you had to deal with all this while on tour. How do you manage?"

Taylor gave a soft sigh, rolling her shoulders. "It's just part of my life now. Gastroparesis, epilepsy, asthma, POTS—all of it. I have to be prepared for anything. It's a lot, but I've learned how to balance it." Her voice was calm, but the weight of it all was there in the undertone.

"I hate that you have to go through this," Travis said, a hint of concern seeping into his voice. "But you seem to handle it with so much grace."

Taylor smiled warmly at his sincerity, her heart swelling a little at the connection they were building. "Thanks, Trav. I just take it day by day, you know? I've got a great team to help, and honestly, you've been pretty amazing to talk to lately. It makes it easier."

On the other end of the call, Travis smiled, his eyes softening. "I'm glad I can help. I can't imagine how tough it is, but you're one strong woman, Tay."

Before Taylor could respond, the sound of soft footsteps approaching the doorway went unnoticed. Tree Paine, Taylor's trusted publicist and close friend, stood quietly at the doorframe, her brow furrowed in surprise as she took in the scene. She hadn't meant to eavesdrop, but she was taken aback by how openly Taylor was discussing her health—and with a guy she hadn't even met in person yet.

Tree remained silent, watching Taylor move through her packing, oblivious to her presence. Bottles of medication, medical equipment, and even her portable nebulizer were being carefully stowed away. Tree had always known about Taylor's medical conditions, but seeing it all laid out like this drove home how much Taylor had to handle behind the scenes.

"I can't believe you're this organized," Travis joked through the phone, breaking the moment. "I'd probably forget half of that stuff."

"Well, I've had practice," Taylor replied with a small laugh, glancing toward her medications. "But it's definitely not glamorous. I'm going to have to get up at 5 AM just to make sure I take everything before the first rehearsal."

"That's dedication," Travis replied, his voice a bit more serious. "I wish I could be there to help."

Taylor's face softened at his words, a hint of vulnerability flashing across her features. "You know, I wouldn't mind that. Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but I've learned to push through. Besides," she added with a wry smile, "I'm stubborn."

"That's an understatement," Travis teased. "But I like that about you."

Before their conversation could continue, Tree stepped further into the room, her presence finally catching Taylor's attention.

"Tree!" Taylor exclaimed, startled, quickly muting her phone. "I didn't even hear you come in."

Tree offered her a warm, reassuring smile but couldn't hide the concerned look in her eyes. "Sorry to barge in on your call, I didn't mean to interrupt," she said, glancing briefly at the suitcase filled with medical supplies. "I just wanted to check in on you before we finalize some things for the tour."

Taylor nodded, though she could see the questions swirling behind Tree's gaze. "Everything okay?"

Tree took a breath, her expression softening further. "Yeah, I just... I guess I didn't realize how much you were packing in terms of your medical stuff. I mean, I knew you had to take care of everything, but seeing it all like this... it's a lot, Tay."

Taylor paused for a moment, her usual confident demeanor softening. "Yeah, it is a lot. But I've got it under control. This is just... my reality now."

Tree nodded, still processing everything. "And this new guy, Travis?" she asked, her tone gently curious.

Taylor's lips curved into a smile as she glanced at her phone, where Travis was still waiting, unaware of the muted conversation. "He's... nice. We've been talking a lot. It's been good to have someone outside of all this who's genuinely interested in me—not just the music or the career, but the real stuff."

Tree's expression softened even further. "I'm glad, Tay. You deserve that. Just... don't forget to lean on us too. You don't have to carry all of this on your own."

Taylor nodded, her heart warming at the support from both Tree and Travis. "Thanks, Tree. I know. It's just... sometimes I feel like I have to be strong for everyone, you know?"

Tree reached out and gave Taylor's shoulder a comforting squeeze. "You don't always have to be. We're here for you, no matter what."

With a smile, Taylor unmuted her phone and resumed her conversation with Travis. "Sorry about that, Trav. Tree just dropped by to check on me."

Travis waved at the camera. "Hey, Tree! You're in good hands, Tay."

Taylor laughed softly, glancing between her two biggest supporters. "Yeah, I am."
