Tree entered the living room, balancing a stack of folders and her coffee, only to nearly drop everything as Taylor attached herself to her side. Taylor's arms wrapped around her waist from behind, her head resting against Tree's shoulder.

"Hi, Tree," Taylor mumbled, her voice muffled but unmistakably full of affection.

Tree sighed, trying not to smile as she set her things down. "Taylor, we've talked about this. I need to work."

"But Tree," Taylor whined, tightening her grip. "You've been working all morning. I'm feeling emotionally neglected." She emphasized her words with a dramatic sigh, which only made Tree roll her eyes, though the corners of her lips twitched upward.

"Emotionally neglected, huh?" Tree twisted in Taylor's hold just enough to look at her. "You do realize I'm your publicist, not your emotional support human, right?"

Taylor's blue eyes widened with faux innocence. "What's the difference?" she asked, nuzzling Tree's shoulder. "You're here, you're warm, and you make the world make sense when it's all chaotic. I'd say that qualifies you."

Tree bit back a laugh, finally turning around to face Taylor, who instantly snaked her arms around Tree's neck, holding her close like a koala clinging to a tree trunk. "You're impossible, you know that?" Tree said, but her voice was soft.

Taylor's face brightened. "But I'm your favorite kind of impossible," she shot back, sticking her tongue out.

Tree groaned, mock exasperation filling her features. "Fine, you win. Five minutes of cuddles, and then I have to get back to work. Deal?"

Taylor lit up, dragging Tree over to the couch. "Deal! And we'll make it the best five minutes ever."

As they tumbled onto the couch, Tree couldn't help but smile, giving in to Taylor's clingy antics, knowing that no amount of deadlines could compare to moments like this.
