The lynx charged at one of the corrupted beings that had turned their backs on her, as they wanted to attack the vampiress. She passed by an armadillo, which tried to bite her, but Steel Skin was enough to protect her. The corrupted being was specialized in defense, so its fangs weren't a danger to the reinforced skin.

In fact, she had let it bite her for that reason, and because by getting closer to it, she could momentarily get away from the other four. The feline had made sure that it bit on a part of her skin that was still intact. Without a doubt, her body itched from different wounds, but she was far from giving up, despite her sisters' concern.

She quickly surrounded the corrupted armadillo to position it between her and the other losts. That way, they couldn't attack her from all directions at once. Her intention was to wait to see what they did, and try to face one without being surrounded. However, her plans changed suddenly at the call of the vampiress.

"Lini! It's escaping! Catch it!" she asked, while calling her by the nickname she had decided for the feline, whether she liked it or not.

Gjaki had the attention of the other corrupted beings, and was distracting them with several Clones and hounds. She watched the mesh of threads too, in case any tried to escape, but she hadn't expected such a strange situation as this.

In an unusual act of intelligence for a lost, the centaur had jumped on one of its subordinates and then jumped higher onto a winged lost. It had used it as a support point to overcome the barrier that the vampiress had created, and reach the other side. It hadn't cared that the lost had crashed into the threads.

If the landing had damaged the lost, it was impossible to know. All they could see was that it had started running towards its centaur companion.

The lynx immediately took off in pursuit, at full speed. She Jumped on the armadillo, and then from it. The sudden maneuver managed to leave her enemies a few meters behind. All turned towards her, some slower than others.

They all followed her, although not with the same speed. The armadillo was slow to turn around and accelerate, so it was the last one. The tiger had been seriously injured, which made it lose reaction speed. Although that didn't stop any one of them from chasing the living being.

The lynx got into a crack in the wall, even though she knew there were threads there. However, she fully trusted the vampiress, who fulfilled her expectations with Live Thread.

The adamantine threads separated to let her pass, and came together again to cover her back. A strange squirrel of a meter and a half in height, with fangs instead of incisors, crashed and cut itself against them.

The threads' owner had sharpened them with Lethal Thread, so they dug into the corrupted flesh. She wasn't worried about them losing consistency, since there was a second layer. In addition, it was a good opportunity to get rid of one of them.

The next losts also tried to get through the crack, thus pushing the corrupted squirrel. They caused the sharp threads to cut it as if it had become slices of bread.

When the squirrel disappeared, after losing consistency of its corrupted essence, the lynx was already too far away, and the four losts were one on top of the other. The last to arrive, the armadillo, had rammed into them as if it were a truck. It had caused them quite a few wounds, and had finished off the squirrel.

Although wounded, having lost their prey, they turned towards the vampiress, the closest one.

"Fine, come," she murmured, as she moved away from the wall and the threads. She wanted to draw them further in.

"I have to make them go further in," Eldi told himself.

The second Wall he had placed was a bit unstable, but it had achieved an unexpected goal. It had partially blocked the drelf aura, which had made Eldi more appetizing. Therefore, the corrupted beings had focused on him again.

He fell between them with Earthquake, which pushed them out of the impact zone. Then, he started running with the help of Rabbit Spirit and Weightlessness. The battle mage had been using the first spell for a long time to gain speed, but he had discovered that he could combine it with the second. By losing weight, his speed increased even more.

With Scatter, he sent back a strange six-legged, two-headed insect that he had seen for the first time. It was so strange, that he even thought that, somehow, two insects had merged, perhaps because of the corruption.

It was harder to use the hammer against the huge concrete-bear, or at least that was what they called it in the game. The lost was a slow being but with great defense, as well as quite wide. It cut off his path, and going around could allow the others to catch up. He had gained some room by having taken them by surprise, but it would be dangerous if they attacked him at the same time. It was much better to take advantage of the opportunity.

Therefore, he threw the hammer back with Bounce. The weapon began to hit one after another, Bouncing between them, and pushing the lighter ones. Meanwhile, a small semi-robotic fairy appeared chasing the hammer. Its job was to recover it and take it to Eldi as soon as it could. Although, first, the weapon had to stop moving between one enemy and the other.

The high human took out a rather special spear, which he had created taking into account the next skill. It was more effective to use Pole Vault with it if there was time to switch weapons.

He jumped over the concrete-bear, thus leaving it and his enemies behind, and started running. Everyone chased after him, although several of them had to get up first after being hit. Well, not everyone could chase. The concrete-bear had to turn around first, and that could take more than a minute. Meanwhile, the others had to go around it.

Thanks to his speed and the obstacle in the way, he gained ground on them, except for a very fast corrupted hell gazelle. Once it started to accelerate, it was much faster than the high human. Of course, speed can be a problem if, as you approach your prey, a hole suddenly appears in the ground.

The gazelle didn't fall in, but it tripped and shot forward. Eldi let it pass by him, as he performed a Slicing with his axe, which included Overload. The axe could withstand up to five Overloads without apparent damage to its structure, and this was a good time to cause a serious wound.

The attack hit the gazelle right in the neck, and didn't completely split it in two because it wasn't supported. Nonetheless, it remained lying on the ground after bouncing several times, and its companions didn't hesitate to pass over it shortly after. They didn't finish it off, but it was disabled from any further combat. The gazelle would take days for its wounds to heal with the miasma, if it could survive a certain concrete-bear that was slowly approaching.
