Eldi Smashed Ground in front of him with his hammer to stun the three losts that were charging at him. With Buttstock, he stunned a huge corrupted cicada that was trying to attack him from the left. He was going to let the corrupted badger coming from the right bite his forearm guard to attack him, but two arrows with Purifying Touch took care of his enemy. They stuck into its legs and exploded.
"Thank you, Goldmi," he muttered.
With Crushing, he shattered the head of some kind of mix between a wildebeest and a deer. It had a body similar to the first, but the horns of the second. He glanced at the stunned cicada, but the lynx had taken advantage of the situation to deal with it. She looked at him and jumped in his direction, which forced him to crouch.
As the lynx attacked the badly wounded badger, he dropped the hammer and, with Javelin, a spear shot out of his hands. It stuck in the second of his enemies in front. It was a kind of corrupted penguin, which strangely had powerful teeth. At the same time, he fired a Fireball, which hit a large corrupted beaver. They were relatively vulnerable to fire, as they had an affinity for water.
Projectiles against me? protected it from a couple of ranged attacks while he was splitting the penguin's head in half with the axe with Slicing. The spear had hindered it enough to give him time to execute the skill.
The scorched beaver charged at him. He dropped the axe to grab the hammer, but realized that many ranged attacks were looming over him, too many for Projectiles against me?. Perhaps, he could block them with Mill, but the problem would be the beaver, along with two corrupted alligators that had taken the place of the deceased.
He had no time left, so he was forced to dodge backwards using Feline Response. The skill was still very costly, but it was the best solution at the moment. There were too many simultaneous attacks at once, though it wasn't surprising considering they were surrounded. He would have to be more careful from now on.
The good part was that the alligators and the beaver were wiped out by friendly fire. They were unable to dodge like Eldi the attacks of the other losts, which had now been located by a certain elf. Soon, lethal arrows would fly in their direction.
He took advantage of the fact that his enemies' attack had cleared the ground in front of him to place a Burning Wall. Without a doubt, his enemies would pass through it without hesitation, and be damaged by it.
While his assistant, which passed through the fire without any problems, brought him the axe and the spear, he created a thin layer of ice around himself. Until recently, it hadn't been a spell that was in the game interface, but rather he did it manually. However, it had been added after performing it on multiple occasions.
In both Gjaki's mansion and Goldmi's village, he had had to create ice rinks for the children, and not so children. Luckily for him, some elves and vampires had learned to imitate him, but not before Ice Rink was recognized as a spell. It had even raised to 4.
"That's a good idea!" Gjaki suddenly appeared, and was skating from side to side.
She wasn't even wearing skates, but she kept her balance perfectly. Not so a corrupted wolf, which had jumped towards her. It slipped, fell on the frozen ground, and kept sliding until it reached Eldi.
He used Propel to hit it and send it towards the garden that was forming a few meters away. The wolf's body was quickly buried by the plants, which wouldn't release it until it awakened.
Suddenly, a kind of tentacles sprouted from the ground and immobilized the high human. The figure of a corrupted giant mole emerged shortly after. At level 70, it had developed those tentacles, which gave it the means to surprise and capture prey on the surface. After being corrupted, it had kept that skill, and now the high human was its prey.
The mole emerged from the ground quickly and approached Eldi to devour him. It was confident that he couldn't move. The corrupted mammal hadn't expected to slip on the ice and be greeted with a Devastating Blow. It was embedded in the ground long enough to be Crushed.
The battle mage had freed himself with Chainbreak, as he had a hammer in his hands. He had then waited for the lost to approach, so that his weapon could greet it.
He struck the ground once more with his weapon, this time to execute Seesaw. The ground rose a few meters away, thus tripping a corrupted antelope that had just crossed the Burning Wall. It fell rolling on the frozen ground, until a hammer Propelled it towards the plants. Every opportunity was good to gain allies, even if it was temporary.
Again, several ranged attacks came at once against him. It would have been problematic if the antelope had been attacking as well, but he had thrown it out very quickly.
"One of the generals is watching me," he said to himself, which was undoubtedly true.
In fact, the shadow was cursing. Its coordinated attack against the living had been a failure. The corrupted antelope had barely been able to distract him, and Mill had protected Eldi from ranged attacks.
Although the shadow did have some luck, as Goldmi was unable to locate it. The losts that had started the attack weren't so lucky, and they would soon be harassed by a rain of arrows.
At that moment, a strange insect that was approaching the battle mage stopped. It opened its mouth to launch a sonic attack, so Eldi prepared to raise an Earthen Wall. They were quite efficient against that type of attack, as it absorbed part of the waves.
However, it wasn't necessary. Something luminous entered the mouth and exploded, which destroyed it from the inside.
"Thanks again," he murmured, while raising his thumb for a moment to thank his companion.
Eldi then saw the fairies come out of the hole he had made before, where they had been hiding. He couldn't have seen them if they hadn't wanted to, but, evidently, that wasn't the case.
"I hope they get rid of the generals. It'd be less annoying without them," he wished.
More losts were approaching from the front. There were also more from the right side, where he put a Frozen Wall. The Burning had the problem that destroyed his skating rink, which forced him to repair it.
On the left side, there were Gjaki and the lynx. In fact, the vampiress saw that he was free for a moment and smiled.
"One goes!" she warned him.
A kind of corrupted two-tailed coyote was launched by her towards Eldi. He was surprised for a few moments, although it wasn't hard for him to deduce what his companion wanted. With Baseball, he sent it between the plants.
Then, Eldi looked again at Kan Golge for a moment, with suspicion. He was still there, without getting close.
