in which every love song reminds olivia of louis
fluff
—the outro to "get him back!" plays in the background as olivia walks down the barricade, the floor covered with purple star confetti as she quickly greets fans. she receives a bouquet of roses and takes a picture with fans on a disposable camera, all while her security continue to move her along.
olivia turns to the camera in front of her and presses a kiss to it, waving goodbye as her security guards usher her to the backstage entrance. she pauses, though, to wait for her mom and louis. she gestures for him to come forward and he does, happily bounding into her arms as he wraps one around her shoulders. olivia's mom joins her by her other side as well, congratulating her daughter.
"i love you," louis murmurs in her ear quietly as he pulls her closer into a hug.
"you did so amazing, livvy," her mom adds, and she brushes loose strands of olivia's hair away from her face, smiling proudly at her daughter.
olivia grins, still buzzing from all the adrenaline and excitement and exhilaration of the entire show. the feeling of finally being back on the stage, in front of thousands of people, has left her completely and entirely energized in a way that she's never experienced before in her life, and she can tell she probably won't be calming down any time soon. she gives her mom a quick smile, and then turns partially to look up at louis.
"god, i'm so wired," olivia laughs, and she's definitely not joking; she's still running on that adrenaline high of just finishing a show at msg, and she's feeling so insanely good, and it's making her want to run around the city all night or something.
her mom lets out another soft laugh at their interaction. "i'll bet that after-concert insomnia will feel great," she jokes, half-rolling her eyes.
"yeah, i'll probably just be up all night." olivia glances at louis, and she can tell they're both completely energized, and for a moment, her mind flashes to what'd happened the last time they stayed up this late.
olivia's mom seems to understand, telling them, "i'll leave you two lovebirds alone for the night. louis should keep you company."
laughing a bit, olivia nods and smiles. "thanks, mom. don't worry, we won't get into too much trouble. and we're still on for lunch tomorrow with dad, right?"
her mom nods, wrapping her in a quick hug. "yeah, we're still on." she looks between the two again, jokingly adding, "don't stay up too late, you two."

louis grabs their shared film camera off of the kitchen counter where it's been stationary for only a few minutes and lifts it to his eyes. the entire kitchen is bathed in a soft, yellow glow by the lights above them, and olivia has a wooden spoon in one hand, stirring at the pasta and sauce simmering in the pot on the stove. she's been trying to prove to louis that she knows how to cook italian food—or cook in general—and it's turned into more of a messy, chaotic affair.
it's nearly 1am, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea. it's not like olivia has anymore concerts to deal with for the next couple of weeks, anyway. but it doesn't help—or does it?—that they've both had some to drink, and now they're wine drunk in the warm light of the kitchen, fully aware that it is past midnight. they're eating a few spoonfuls of pasta along the way, and being quite silly while they're at it, and in-between that they're just taking pictures of each other with the one camera they have that they haven't yet run out of film for.
she's wearing an oversized sweater over her pajama shorts, her long hair swept to one side. her face is slightly flushed from the alcohol, though—not to mention from all the laughter ever since they started. she's still running on all the high from the concert, and they're having another glass of wine, so she feels even more wired than she was before. it's nearly 1am, and she's laughing to herself, holding up a spoon of sauce in front of louis' mouth, trying to get him to taste it.
