ANW CHAPTER 2. "It was...it was eating..."

Zayn wakes up. He yawns. Everyone is out of the building already. He looks around and then sees Alex laying against his shoulder.

Zayn: "Alex...?"

He touches her arm carefully.

Zayn: "Alex?"
Alex wakes up and sits straight up. Alex looks at Zayn. There is some drool on her chin. She quickly wipes her mouth with her sleeve.

Alex: "I'm sorry, did I drool on you?"

Zayn laughs.

Zayn: "No it's fine."

They walk out of the building where there is everyone sitting eating. Alex grabs a peanut butter sandwich.

Adrian: "We should go in an hour to the mall, we don't know how long it's going to take before we're back."

Everyone just listens to Adrian.

Adrian: "So, does anyone want to go or stay here today?"

Zayn: "I wanna go today, I need to change my clothes."

Zayn's clothes are still under the blood of Tyler's uncle. You can see Tyler staring at Zayn's clothes for a few seconds.

Tyler: "I'll stay here."

Zayn looks guilty at Tyler. Everyone notices the tension.

Adrian: "Alright... What if Tyler, Jason, Jessie, and Alex stay here. And Zayn, Candice, Jackie and I will go today?"

Everybody nods. They all eat some food and Adrian and Zayn are already getting their bags and throwing them in the truck. The others are outside.

Candice: "Is there any stuff that we need today?"

Tyler: "Toilet paper, and maybe some extra blankets if it gets really cold."

Alex: "Maybe some stuff to fix the fence, there are some holes in it."

Jessie: "Maybe you guys can take a few mattresses."

Jackie: "That takes a lot of space. We should first take the stuff that we can't live without."

Jessie: "Well, I can't live without a mattress."

Jackie: "Then what are you doing right now?"

Zayn: "We could take mattresses in the future."
Everyone is quiet and looks at Zayn.

Jackie: "Future?"

Zayn: "I mean just in case we have to stay here long."

Adrian walks up to them.

Adrian: "Guys let's go. We'll be back before it's dark."

They get in the car and Zayn gets in the driver's seat. He starts the car and they drive off.

Tyler, Jason, Jessie, and Alex walk back into the building.

Tyler: "Maybe we could make a garden where we can plant food. And clean whole inside the fence, there is like plastic and paper everywhere."

Jason: "Are you joking? "

Jessie looks at Tyler like he is crazy.

Jessie: "I'm not gonna sit with my knees in the sand making a 'garden'."
