ANW CHAPTER 19 "I have depression."

It's morning. Alex wakes up. She opens her eyes and immediately looks to her side to see Zayn. Zayn is still peacefully sleeping. She leaves a breath out of relief. Alex then gets up and gets out of her room. She opens the buildings doors. There is a big layer of snow outside. Alex feels the cold come inside and decides to close the door. She sits down against the door. Candice then comes out of her room.
Alex: Morning.
Candice: Morning.
Candice looks at Alex sitting against the door.
Alex: It's really cold outside. And the wind is blowing the snow everywhere.
Candice: Jeez. Imagine if we were still in our tents out there.
Alex: We'd freeze to death.
Candice: Yeah... How is Zayn doing?
Alex: He looks alright. He's still sleeping.
Candice: I'll check up on him when he is awake.
Alex smiles miserably.
Alex: I, I don't know what to do. He can't bare a second alone. But I can't just be with him every second.
Candice looks caring at Alex.
Candice: We could try to make it less. I can't give him any medicine yet, and I don't think the medicine worked, but maybe we can try and help him to be less scared.
Alex: Are phobias able to go away? Candice sits down next to Alex.
Candice: Yes, but let's try to do it without any medication.
Alex looks a little hopeful. Levi walks out of his room. He sees Candice and Alex. Candice smiles politely.
Candice: Good morning.
Levi: Good morning.
Levi sits down with Candice and Alex.
Levi: How is Zayn doing?
Alex: He's still sleeping.
Levi: Oh, I hope he feels better.
Alex: Thanks.
Alex wants to change the subject.
Alex: So Levi. How long will you be staying here?
Levi: Adrian asked me yesterday if I wanted to stay.
Alex: For how long?
Levi: He didn't say, but I think he meant that I'm a part of your group now.
Alex looks confused.
Alex: Really?
Candice looks at Alex.
Alex: I'm fine with you staying, but why did Adrian not even asked what we thought about it. That he's the leader doesn't mean he can make all decisions on his own.
Levi: He told me he'd discuss it with you guys.
Candice: Uhm...he asked me what I thought about it.
Alex looks at Candice.
Alex: He did?
Candice nods.
Alex: What is this? Are you two suddenly both our leaders?
Candice: No I'm not. I wouldn't even want to be a leader. He just asked me because he knew that I wanted him to stay.
Alex: So you didn't think about even telling us about that?
Candice: I didn't... I...
Alex: Why are you stuttering? Just talk.
Candice looks a little mad.
Candice: It's not even that big of a deal, everyone would've voted for him to stay anyways. You just said you didn't mind him staying.
Alex: Yeah, but what if I did? And suddenly he would live here.
Levi looks a little awkward at Alex and Candice fighting.
Candice: We wouldn't force him to go out there. He can't survive in the snow.
Alex: I don't care about that, I just want our group to have equal rights about what happens.
Candice: You have a say in what happens.
Alex: Then why didn't Adrian and you tell us about him staying?!
Candice: I don't know! Isn't that Adrian's task?! I don't get why your yelling at me.
Alex: Because you also knew about it!
Alex and Candice look at each other.
Candice sighs: Let's just tell Adrian later that he should've asked all of us.
Alex looks annoyed and Candice looks irritated. They both don't make eye contact. Levi looks a little awkward at them. He stands up.
Levi: I'm gonna go smoke.
Levi walks out of the building. Alex and Candice share some annoyed faces. The others start getting out of their room. Jason, Tyler, Ruby, Adrian and Jessie have gotten out already. They are all eating breakfast.

Ryan wakes up. He yawns and sits straight up. He moves his arm in circles. Ryan pulls up his arm sleeve and groans a little. The bruises on his arm is more yellowish now. Outside of his room the others are eating and chatting. Ryan hears them and sees on his right that Chris is also still in bed. He taps Chris's shoulder.
Ryan: Chris wake up. Chris.
Chris groans and turns towards Ryan.
Ryan: Are you awake?
Chris: No.
Ryan chuckles. Chris's forehead is shining from sweat.
Ryan: Are you sweating?
Chris doesn't answer. Ryan feels Chris's forehead. Ryan looks confused.
Ryan: Your forehead is really hot. Do you have a fever?
Chris doesn't answer again.
Ryan: Chris. Chris wake up.
Chris: What do you want?
Ryan: You need to get out of bed. Everyone is already eating breakfast.
Chris: I'm too tired.
Ryan: Chris you should go to Candice today. You are really sick.
Chris sighs and sits straight up.
Chris: You know I don't want to go to Candice. I don't like to go to doctors. It's probably just a cold anyways.
Ryan: A cold doesn't cause your skin to itch.
Chris: Yeah, maybe it's because I'm not used to getting sick.
Ryan stands up.
Ryan: If you're not feeling better tomorrow you're going to Candice.
Ryan stands up.
Chris: You sound like my mom.
Ryan walks out of the room. Chris sighs and starts scratching his arm.
