ANW CHAPTER 4 "That's going to be a scar."

It's almost morning. The sun has almost come up. Jackie wakes Alex up.
Jackie whispers: "Alex...Alex?"

Alex wakes up and yawns.

Jackie: "It's time for your shift."

Alex: "Oh...okay."

Alex sits up straight and walks out of the building. She sits down. She can hear the wind blow. Alex looks at her watch. It's around 6 am which means the other will probably go out of bed in an hour.

After a few minutes, Candice comes outside.

Alex: "Good morning."

Candice looks at Alex.

Candice: "Morning. Wow, it is pretty cold."

Alex: "Yes, but it'll get warmer soon. Summer has just begun."

Candice sits next to her.

Candice: "I'm glad that we're getting our own tents the following night."

Alex: "Yeah me too. And a mattress. Ahh, I can't wait to sleep on that."

Alex yawns which causes Candice to yawn.

A few hours pass by and everyone is eating in a circle. Some of them are having a conversation, but quietly. Adrian stands up.

Adrian: "Okay everyone. Today Jackie, Zayn, and I will go to the mall to get us all a tent and a mattress. We'll probably come back a few times. Because obviously, eight mattresses don't fit in one truck."

Tyler: "And...what do we do?"

Adrian: Well maybe make the ground flat for the tents? And we'll probably drop the tents off so you guys can start setting them up. After that, bring the mattresses in the tent."

Candice: "That sounds like a lot of work..."

Zayn: "It is, but it'll all be worth it. Afterward, we can all have privacy and a comfortable bed."

Jessie: "I can't wait to go asleep tonight on a comfortable mattress, in my own tent. It sounds amazing."

Adrian smiles at Jessie.

Adrian: "I'm glad you're enthusiastic."

Jessie smiles back at Adrian.

Zayn, Adrian, and Jackie packed their bags and get into the front of the car. Everyone waves at each other and then they drive away.

Tyler: "Okay let's get started."

Tyler walks over to the middle of the field. They all dig the grass off the ground and press the shovel against the dirt.

Jason: "I can't believe this."

Jessie: "What?"

Jason: "They are just driving and throwing stuff in the back of the car while we have to do the hard work here."

Candice: "Stop complaining Jason."

They are all quietly working.
