ANW CHAPTER 20 "I don't know how long he has. "

It's morning. Levi gets out of bed. He sees that Adrian is still sleeping. He goes to the main room and then outside. The sun shines brightly and reflects on the snow. Levi grabs a cigarette and lights it. Tyler then comes out of the building.
Tyler: Morning.
Levi: Morning.
Tyler stands against the wall next to Levi. He yawns.
Tyler: Why are you always up so early?
Levi pulls up his shoulders.
Levi: Why are you up early?
Tyler: I don't know. I woke up and couldn't fall asleep anymore.
Levi goes further with smoking. Then Jessie comes out of the building.
Jessie: Morning boys.
Levi and Tyler nod welcoming. They stand there in silence.
Jessie: I'm going to grab some food. Want some too?
Tyler and Levi both shake their heads. Jessie goes back inside. The group slowly starts to wake up, person by person.

Alex is still laying on top of Zayn. Alex wakes up. She smiles as she sees how close she is to Zayn. She stretches her arms and legs. Zayn wakes up.
Alex: Morning.
Zayn smiles.
Zayn: Morning.
Zayn puts his hands behind his head. Alex smirks at him.
Alex: Are you feeling comfortable?
Zayn: Yeah...
Alex: Maybe a little too comfortable.
Zayn looks confused. Alex gets off of him and puts on some daily clothes. Zayn looks under his blanket. He blushes and looks embarrassed. Alex laughs. She throws a hoodie and pants at him. Alex turns around as she puts on her clothes. Zayn stands up. Zayn wraps his arms around her from behind her. Alex laughs from surprise.
Zayn: How did I get so lucky with you?
Alex smiles. She then feels Zayn's hands shaking. Zayn notices too. He takes his hands off of her and looks at them.
Alex: Are you okay?
Zayn: Yeah, it's nothing. I'll ask Candice about it later.
Alex looks worried. Zayn gets dressed. He smiles.
Zayn: Don't worry about it.
He opens the door for Alex.
Zayn: Ladies first.
Alex tries to smile. They walk into the main room where everyone is eating.
Jason: I see you two lazy asses are finally out of bed. Or have you been busy all night?
Jason smirks.
Alex: Ha ha Jason, you're so funny.
Jason: You don't need to tell me that. I already know.
Zayn ignores him. Alex scoffs and sits down with Zayn. They both grab some food.
Adrian: Okay so, today Candice, Katy, Zayn, Ryan and Chris will go and get wood. I don't think you guys will be out long, but still be careful. Zayn do you think you're be able to go?
Zayn: Yeah sure.
Alex looks a little worried at him. Adrian sees Alex's concern.
Adrian: Candice do you think he'll be alright?
Candice: Yeah I think he'll be fine. And I can keep an eye on him when I'm there.
Adrian: Great. For the people staying here. We are going to make an extra room for medical care.
Tyler: Wait what? Why?
Adrian: It's easier if someone has a medical issue to talk about that in there. We can put all medical supplies inside and we have enough space for it.
Jessie: I think it's a little unnecessary, but okay.
Adrian: It is for medical care. That is not unnecessary. However, when everyone finished eating we can prepare the supplies and after lunch we can start working. Anyone disagreeing?
They are all quiet and they just keep eating.
Adrian: Good. Then everyone knows what to do.

Candice is in her room. Zayn stands in front of her room.
Zayn: Candice?
Candice: One sec.
Candice puts on a shirt and then opens the curtain door.
Zayn: Can I come in?
Candice: Yeah sure.
Zayn gets inside.
Candice: Something wrong?
Zayn: Uhm. My hands won't stop shaking.
Candice: Let me see.
Zayn holds his hands out.
Zayn: They've been doing it since this morning.
Candice takes a look at his hand.
Candice: Hmm... Are you scared right now?
Zayn: Not really.
Candice: I think these, tremors, are probably from you withdrawal. They will probably go away in a few days.
Zayn: Alright. Thanks.
Zayn walks towards the door.
Candice: Do you want to have a therapy session later? When we have the medical room?
Zayn: Wait, that is not going to be made just for me right?
Candice: No, no. It's for everyone. Like for Ryan with his arm. Some people find it easier talk about their symptoms in private.
Zayn: Okay. Yeah sure.
Candice: Okay then. Now get out I need to get dressed.
Candice says demanding, but in a nice way.
Zayn: If I didn't have a girlfriend I would've helped you with that.
Zayn winks and walks out. Candice laughs awkwardly. Candice starts getting dressed. Jessie walks into the room.
Jessie: Hey.
Candice: Oh hey.
Jessie lays down on her bed.
Jessie: I really don't want to go out there. We have to walk so much in the cold. I bet I'm going to get sick again.
Candice: Were you really sick?
Jessie crosses her arms.
Jessie: Maybe not as sick as you thought...but you all told me I should rest.
Candice face palm.
Jessie: What?
Candice: You can't just stay in your room and expect us to do all the work.
Jessie rolls her eyes.
Jessie: Whatever.
Candice: No that's not whatever. You can't stay in your room for so long. Making us do all the work.
Jessie: Alright sorry. Jeez...
Candice sighs from frustration.
