ANW CHAPTER 21 "You feel scared, don't you?"

It's morning and Tyler wakes up. He yawns and opens his eyes. He sees about two feet away from his face, Jason's face. Jason is peacefully sleeping. Tyler stares at Jason's face for a second. Then Tyler notices what he is doing and sits up. He puts on some clothes. Jason wakes up because Tyler is zipping open his bag. Jason groans.
Jason: Morning.
Tyler: Morning...
Jason rubs his eyes. He sits up straight. Tyler walks out of the room. Jason looks confused.

Tyler sees nobody sitting inside. He walks to the door outside. Levi's is smoking.
Tyler: Morning.
Levi: Morning.
Tyler: How are you?
Levi: I'm okay. You?
Tyler: Same.
Tyler sits down. They both just sit there. Jason comes out.
Jason: Morning.
Levi: Morning.
Jason sits down next to Tyler. Jason gets out a cigarette.
Jason: Levi, do you have a lighter?
Levi hands Jason his lighter. Jason lights his cigarette. He hands the lighter back.
Jason: Thanks.
Jason blows out some smoke. The wind goes towards Tyler. Tyler coughs from getting smoke in his face.
Tyler: Jason, could you sit on the other side of Levi. I'm inhaling your smoke.
Jason looks annoyed at Tyler, but sits next to Levi. Adrian comes out of the building. He and Levi make eye contact.
Adrian: Morning.
Tyler: Morning.
Jason: Morning.
Levi just breaks the eye contact. Adrian sits in front of the doorway, next to Tyler.
Adrian: We're going to the hospital today, for supplies.
Jason looks confused.
Jason: Why?
Adrian: We ran out of supplies.
Jason: How did we run out of medical supplies? We only have to use those in emergencies.
Adrian sighs.
Adrian: We just need more. Candice told me that.
Jason rolls his eyes.
Jason: Okay I guess. It would be nice to get out of here.
Chris then walks out of the building. He shares eye contact with Adrian. Adrian stands up.
Adrian: Chris, can we talk?
Chris rolls his eyes.
Chris: Okay.
Adrian walks over to the garden area and Chris follows him. Adrian looks caring at Chris. Chris looks uninterested and has his arms crossed.
Adrian: Candice told me yesterday about that you...are sick. I'm sorry about that and if you feel badly or have trouble doing something, just tell me and I'll see what I can do.
Chris looks like he doesn't care.
Chris: Okay.
Adrian: I'm planning on going to the hospital today, so Candice can figure out what to do.
Chris: Okay.
Chris doesn't look at Adrian. Adrian looks a little confused.
Adrian: Is there right now anything I can do for you?
Chris: No.
Chris looks with an annoyed expression right in Adrian's eyes. He still has his arms crossed.
Chris: Are you done now?
Adrian: Uhm...yeah.
Chris walks away. Adrian stands still looking confused.

Alex is hugging Zayn while still asleep. Zayn has already woken up. Zayn stares emotionless at the ceiling. Alex then wakes up. She groans and stretches her arms. She sees Zayn's awake.
Alex: Good morning. How long have you been awake?
Zayn: Not long...
Alex: Are you okay? You look stressed.
Zayn: It's just... Candice told me I should spend a night alone. To trigger my phobia. And I'm not exactly looking forward to it.
Zayn looks worried at the ceiling.
Alex: Hey, it's okay. We can take little steps. Like first a few hours alone and if it doesn't go well I can come to you.
Zayn: No...I think I need to do a night alone. I mean everyone can do it so, so can I.
Alex: Alright, if you say so.
Alex plays with Zayn's hair trying to get eye contact. It works because Zayn looks at her and puts his hand on her cheek. His hand shakes a little, but Alex ignores it. Zayn looks sad and puts his hand away. Alex grabs his hand and puts it back on her cheek. She smiles politely. Zayn smiles back.

After a while everyone gets outside. They all sit in the building. Adrian stands up.
Adrian: Today half of us will go to the hospital to get medical supplies. We don't have a lot anymore.
Jessie: You wanna go today? In the middle of the winter?
Adrian: It is necessary. If someone of us gets hurt, we need to be able to treat them. So is there anyone who would like to come?
Candice: I'll come as I know what stuff we should get.
Adrian nods. Candice and Adrian look at Chris. Chris understands what to do.
Chris: I'll come too.
Nobody really pays attention to what Chris answered. Except of Ryan.
Ryan whispers: Should I come with?
Chris whispers: No it's fine.
Zayn: I'd like to come. Some time away from here would be nice.
Tyler looks at Jason, who does not look interested in the idea.
Tyler: I'll go too.
Jason looks confused at Tyler.
Jason: I'll come too.
Tyler looks weird at Jason.
Tyler whispers: I thought you wouldn't want to go?
Jason whispers: Yeah, but if you're going I'm going too.
Adrian: Okay, we will be leaving in a hour.
Tyler gets up and walk to his room. Jason follows him. Tyler grabs some clothes.
Jason: Why do you want to go with them to the hospital?
Tyler: It's just nice to get out of here sometime.
Jason: I guess so.
Tyler: If you don't want to go, you don't have to.
Jason: You're my friend, what would I do here alone. And don't start about Ruby again...
Tyler takes off his clothes. He looks at Jason and then turns around and puts on some fresh clothes.
Jason: What's going on with you today?
Tyler: What do you mean?
Jason: Something is bothering you, I just don't know what yet. Are you still mad about yesterday?
Tyler: No.
Jason: But there is something wrong?
Tyler: No.
Jason looks unconvinced. Tyler walks towards Jason with a annoyed expression.
Tyler: Nothing's wrong.
Jason scoffs.
Jason: You really need to learn how to lie better if you want to convince me.
Tyler rolls his eyes and walks out of the room.
