Just as the dust cleared, Ayaka ran in and slashed the Abyss mage on the head but her strike was not effective due to the armor, "You children also wanna play?"

Kitayuu was quick to join her and Bennet remained behind and tried his best to tend to Raiden's wound as he knew a bit of pyro healing techniques

Kitayuu; "It's our turn to take you one now!"

The Abyss Herald gave a screeching laugh, "Ah yes"

It charged in at both Ayaka and Kitayuu;

"Your turn to meet the same fate!"

Ayaka took a step forward with her sword and engaged with the Abyss Herald clashing blades.

Kitayuu tried creating openings using electro enhanced speed which distracted the Herald for a bit, but was not really effective. The Herald managed to drive Ayaka back and just barely miss a lethal slash on Kitayuu.

Kitayuu; "I'm still exhausted from our previous fight"

Ayaka; "Same, hopefully Bennet can finish up soon and provide us with some support. Though I don't like being pessimistic, I doubt we can beat this thing."

Kitayuu; "I've been through worse, this guy isn't nearly as strong as Blade, just gotta find a good opening and we're good"

Ayaka responded charging her sword with cryo, "I hope you know what you're doing"

She slashed the surface trying to freeze the Heralds feet to which it dodged. Kitayuu tried combining electro attacks with Ayaka's cryo to generate super conduct reactions, "He's too fast!"

Just a split second later the Herald's blade swung just missing Kitayuu's eye, "Damn kid you got lucky there!"

Kitayuu stood in shock for a moment, leaving himself open. Luckily Ayaka managed to block the next attack for him and bumped his shoulder, "Hey! Stay focused, I can't do this myself!"

She dispersed into the ground and the Herald started spinning like a saw, the same way it did against Raiden. Hydro blades started flying in all directions which Kitayuu dodged with his enhanced speed. Just as the enemy stopped spinning he charged in with everything he had and got a good punch in the face.

Ayaka also took this opportunity and froze one of its legs.

Kitayuu went for a second punch, but unfortunately the Herald caught his fist and slammed him towards Ayaka.

Ayaka managed to sidestep the attack and slashed the Herald's arm causing it to loosen its grip on Kitayuu.

When it eventually let go, Kitayuu blasted the Herald with Hydro and both him and Ayaka proceeded to freeze it with cryo attacks.

Kitayuu fell on one knee and clutched his shoulder, "Shit I went too far! I'm close to my limit!"

Ayaka screamed from the other side, "It's not over yet! Just hang in for a little longer!"
