Kitayuu set off to find the old battleground of the Archon war that Diluc suggested was the perfect place for him to train. He returned to Liyue and purchased a map from the adventurers guild. The forest was located right between a small village in Liyue and the haunted area of Wuwang hill.
"Why Wuwang hill WHYYYY?" Kitayuu gulped knowing the many ghost stories he's heard through the years about that area. He braced himself as he hiked through the mountains of Liyue, "At least I'm getting some cardio done here."
Back at the academy, many other students also decided to leave and train in different places whilst others used the academy grounds. Bennet and his group decided to remain at the academy for an extra day before going to Monstadt where they will be training under Jean.
Raiden had left in the early hours of the morning and caught a ship going to the island of Inazuma. After 3 days out at sea he finally arrived back at his home nation where shogunate guards were waiting to escort him to the large building of Tenshukaku where the Raiden Shogun sat on her throne.
Raiden slowly opened the door and peeked inside, he saw his mother meditating with her eyes closed. He decided to slip through the door and be as quiet as a mouse going to his room. After making it upstairs without getting caught and entering a long passageway he felt a soft breeze behind him. At first he brushed it off as nature until he realised, 'Wait, I'm indoors'
"Didn't even greet me did you?"
He stumbled back upon seeing his mother behind him almost losing his balance. Her presence was frightening. Raiden could feel her powerful aura crushing him.
The Shogun stared at him coldly for a moment before speaking again, "I heard about the tournament that you will be participating in, so I prepared an area outside for you to train."
Raiden; "You know about this?"
The Shogun looked at her son with a piercing gaze, "Do you really think you can hide any information from me? I know everything that's been going on with you back at the academy and I've been invited to spectate this tournament." She took out a piece of paper and waved it in the air, "Normally I would turn down invitations like this, but this time I'll make an exception."
"I hope you don't disappoint, but I shouldn't get my hopes up either," She turned around and walked away, leaving an echo to travel across the hallway with her footsteps.
Raiden stood there for a moment until his mother descended down the stairs and continued his way back to his bedroom, "I'll show you, even if it means I have to get my hands dirty..."
"By killing"
Kitayuu finally made his way close to his final destination, after a weeks journey of hiking and staying at public rest shelters, "Well at least it's day" he continued to walk through the forest. At first it was not so bad, birds chirped and vibrant flowers filled the air with a pleasant scent.
