"Oh wow, Y/N! You are living the life!" Soo-jin laughed loudly, playfully slapping your shoulder as the dry pine branches crackled under your feet. The two of you walked along the damp, foggy forest path, winter's chill wrapping around you like a freezing blanket on this December morning. "Getting attention from seven godly men, especially that ridiculously hot dancer with his out-of-this-world stage presence—ugh, I'm so jealous! And his di—"

"Shhh!" You panicked, clapping a hand over your best friend's mouth, trying to muffle their words. "Shut your pretty pizza-hole, Sooji! He can hear us!" Nervously, you glanced over your shoulder at the "damn hot dancer" in question, who was currently surrounded by a pack of dogs bouncing around him. "If you keep shouting like that, I won't answer your naughty little questions anymore. Seriously!"

"But you loooove me, Y/N!" Soo-jin teased, giving you their best puppy-dog eyes as they rested their head on your shoulder. "And you tell me eeeverything, right? We're soulmates, after all, hm?"

They knew exactly how to get to you when they acted all cute and cuddly. You couldn't help but grin, giving in. "Alright, alright. What a pain in the ass you are sometimes..."

They just shrugged, chuckling as they tossed their wavy orange hair over their shoulder in mock vanity. "Compliment taken."

Shaking your head, you continued down the scenic trail, passing towering pine trees, bubbling streams, and stony hills. Behind you, Hoseok's cheerful voice rang out as he whistled to call back one of the dogs, praising them in that way only he could.

Ever since that intense makeout session in the dance studio—which somehow turned into both of you half-confessing your feelings—you'd been spending more and more time with him. The sexual tension was still there, leading to some... *very nice* moments, but now there was a newfound calmness and mutual understanding between you. It felt *right*.

Within days, Hoseok had opened up more emotionally, especially after that group conversation last weekend where everyone shared their fears, dreams, and hopes for the future. They even talked about personal freedom and the need to get outside, given the tension hanging over everyone's lives. So, when you'd asked around the dorm if anyone wanted to join you and Soo-jin for a hike in Namhansanseong Provincial Park, Hoseok jumped at the chance, eager to spend some quiet time together.

You felt... content. Despite the looming darkness that still hovered over all of your lives, life had to keep moving forward. A walk in the crisp winter air helped.

"I'm so happy, Sooji," you said, though your voice carried the weight of something heavier than your words suggested.

Soo-jin looked at you, confused, their brows knitting together. "Then why do you sound so sad, buttercup?"

You took a moment to think before answering carefully, "I really am happy. I've finally sorted out most of my relationships with the boys, and I think we're all pretty content with where things stand. But I'm scared that could change."

"Why would it? Because of Ji-ho?" Soo-jin asked quietly.

"Yeah... and because of Jane. And the stalker." You sighed, crossing your hands behind your neck, staring pensively at the sky. "Maybe the stalker is my ex, or Ji-ho... or maybe not. It's all just so confusing, and we haven't made any real progress in finding the truth."
