4th of September.
"Good morning princess, we are running late for the meeting" gran gran said as she woke me up from sleep.
"What?" I was drained "wait... It's yesterday? No tomorrow? I slept throughout the day?" My words were a bit scattered as I tried to put myself together.
"Yes dear you did, your mom agreed to postpone it to 10am today and it's past 9am already" gran gran said as she sat down on my bed, she was fully dressed and here I was I hadn't even bathed.
"I'm sure you were just tired from your journey" she said as I dragged myself to the bathing room, it was no excuse to be lazy gran gran also travelled yesterday and so did Layla and grace, none of them are having a hard time adapting like me.
God no, six days to the wedding and I'm jere misbehaving as usual, and Lina is only God knows where.
"Come on Diana, focus" i was trying to pep talk myself into bathing fast, I was a bit tired and I was moving slowly.
"Here is your dress princess" Layla was waiting for me as I stepped out from the bathroom, Ahh back to eating this load again.
"I stood quietly as she did her work, helping me fit into the dress effortlessly, sje was really good at what she does, I mean what did I expect from a professional fashion designer.
"Are you ready yet? It's time already" gran gran said, she was a soft and sweet woman to everyone especially me. But one thing she hates very much is late coming, to anything and everything, gran gran hates late coming.
"Almost" Layla was pinning down my crown to prevent it from flying away.
"Be fast" gran gran said as she continued to do what she was doing.
"Okay all done" I said as I hurriedly began to walk together with gran gran, even though I don't like the royal life and all the rules this is all I have every known and I am kinda good at it.
"Welcome welcome" mom said as she was standing at the entrance of the dinning table.
"Diana, you didn't even come to say hello" mom said still standing at the door, i couldn't help but notice her very obvious baby bump. How far in was she? She looked like she was ready to give birth any moment from now.
"Don't tell me you didn't miss me?" She said in a hypocritical tone, why was she trying her best to be nice to me? It's making me sick to my stomach.
"Layla and grace, you guys should sit this one out. Go and arrange the princess luggage or something, it's private" she said as she finally moved for me and gran gran to enter the dinning hall, the foods were already served on the table, there was no kitchen staff around. It was only me, gran gran, mom, the Queen of oyoland and Fred, I wonder what he is doing.
"Welcome, since everyone is here I think the faster we do this and end it the better for us. The more we stay here the more curiosity gets the better of the people outside, and the more we make them curious the more they would want to know the truth" the Queen of oyoland said so majestically, for a moment I forgot this was the same woman that wanted an heir so bad she was ready to sacrifice that child.
"Okay then" gran gran responded.
"We want you to delete all incrementing evidence you have regarding the matter and we would let Lina go, not only that the wedding would be called off from our side" mom said swiftly.
"I like the fact that you are ready to corporate, I see you don't want anything to damage your reputation and ruin your unborn child chance of becoming King I guess" gran gran said.
"No we just want to make peace with you, that's all. And if the general public hear about this it is going to be damaging to the entire royal families name, including you both" Lina's mother said.
"Well whatever you people are trying to hide would definitely come to light my dear, but I wouldn't say more than that. We agree to your conditions, but how would you end the wedding?" Gran gran questioned.
"How ever you want it, Fred could announce it today or he could stand her up on the wedding day to make it more believable, anyone you want. It's your call" mom said.
"Uuh" Fred made a loud sound from clearing his throat as he continues to adjust his collar, he looked visibly upset and I guess he deserve everything and more that's happening to him.
"We would like it to be cancelled right this instant, we do t want guest coming here to waist their time and money. Besides that would make you look more like a laughing stock, having a daughter that no one wants to marry" gran gran said, I had started paying more attention to them.
Mom, Fred and Lina's mom all looked annoyed, like we are running something and they weren't happy with it. They looked like they wanted to explode with rage.
"Why the grumpy attitude? You didn't think we would come with evidence" I made fun of them a bit, we weren't children anymore of course we would become stronger.
"Yeah right, especially knowing your offense is punishable by the law. You should be happy we came to mediate and not publish it all on the media, I doubt the wedding would hold with such a huge scandal even if it was just an allegation, I'm sure the both of you hands are not clean so try your best to stay away from people digging up your past. The ugly truth would come out one day" gran gran said as she stood up from the table.
Wait what? I wasn't told we were walking out on the, ummh... I quicky put myself together as I followed gran gran's movements.
"And also, we want to see Lina, failinly tomorrow before we leave" gran gran said as she continued walking out.
We didn't even eat, but yeah that's right the food might be poisoned who knows.
"Well if you keep your end of the bargain, we would keep ours" mom said as we finally left the dinning hall, what a show down.
"You should go and rest Diana, I want to check something out" gran gran said as she proceeded to walk towards the entrance of the palace, seems she had something to do here outside the wedding negotiation.
