Seated with my legs crossed,my gaze locked onto Avery Hauler_a name that sounded quite familiar.
Barely four feet tall,her petite stature was radiating beauty. Her curled long auburn hair framed her heart-shaped face, highlighting her bright eyes and full red lips that curved into a gentle smile.
Her fitted attire showcased her curves and I couldn't help but be drawn to her warmth and elegance.
"Good day Sir Xander",she said,her voice poised. "I'm here on behalf of Sir Jeff, head of the legal services department to submit the Harper case file,case number 302.
I eyed her coldly,"Where's Jeff?" I asked my time colder than intended. Her confident smile faltered for a moment and she hesitated before responding "I'm afraid I don't know his whereabouts sir.
"But I can inquire from the team members". Her eyes, a deep shade of brown sparkled with determination.
She handed over the case file her slender finger brushing against mine.
The subtle scent of lavender wafted from her fillings the air. As she turned to leave, her heels clicked on the polished floor. "Wait",I said . She stopped abruptly and turned withe huge smile plastered on her face.
"You're new here?"I stated my gaze softening "Since when?" my curiosity getting the better part of me.
"Last week Sir,I started working here then". A faint blush spread across her cheeks, I nodded my expressions relaxing into a gentle smile.
"Welcome to Omerta Investigations Agency" She smiled back, her eyes sparkling and turned once more disappearing into the lobby, the sound of her heels fading away into the distance.
