Xander' POV
Avery wore my hoodie, and she looked really beautiful. Her delicate, smooth skin radiated a warm glow, captivating me and holding my gaze.
I couldn't help but feel a surge of protectiveness and adoration towards her.
She sat beside Linder, firing off questions with an unmistakable spark in her eyes.
"Am I going to be stuck here forever?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of vulnerability.
"Yes, you're staying here," I replied, my tone firm but gentle. "With me..." I added, my voice trailing off as our eyes locked.
The air thickened with tension.
An awkward silence followed, but it was interrupted by Avery's stomach growling loudly.
"Breakfast is ready!" Gio called out, breaking the silence.
Avery's smiled shyly and blushed she was totally irresistible, and my heart skipped a beat.
We gathered around the dining table for breakfast, the warmth and camaraderie easing the tension.
"I'm giving you both the rest of the week off," I announced, trying to sound casual despite the emotions swirling inside.
"Thank you, Sir Xander," Avery said, her eyes sparkling with gratitude.
"Just Xander is fine," I corrected, smiling and feeling a flutter in my chest.
"Okay," she replied, smiling back, and I was lost in the depths of her eyes.
Our gaze locked again as we stared deeply into our eyes. She suddenly looked away and blushed.
So cute,I thought.
Every time she smiled, I yearned to hug her, kiss her, and never let her go. I pushed those thoughts aside, signaling Gio that it was time to leave before I gave in to my desires.
Grabbing my coat, I instructed Linder, "Take good care of her. Keep the door closed, okay?"
My concern for her safety and well-being was palpable.
Avery waved goodbye from the doorway, and I smiled, waving back, my heart aching with longing.
Linder escorted her inside before I drove away, leaving me with the echoing thought:
I'm madly in love with her....
