Felix let out a menacing laugh as he held me in his arms. I knew he was power hungry, but I didn’t think it would get to this point. I felt a blade against my neck, as I saw Lucien turn around.
Lucien was covered in blood, as the last soldier dropped. He turned to see me as he gasped. My breath was scattered, as Felix dug the knife into my neck.
“Let her go!”
Lucien shared a dark scoff as he glared at Felix. Yet his grip didn’t loosen, get only got tighter. Lucien had taken a few steps forward, as I felt the blade push harder against my neck.
“Stop, please!”
I pleaded, as I felt my eyes tear up. I watched as Lucien stopped walking. Felix had all the power in this situation, and I felt the anger beam off Lucien.
“No! Take me instead.”
I watched as Lucien take another step, but this one smaller than before. Felix had only let out a menacing laugh, before speaking.
“Did you really think you could take me on? You had stollen what was mine, so now its my turn. You’re only a bunch of weak, small children. You might have taken my army, but I will take the life of your little beloved girlfriend.”
“No!”
Lucien had screamed as I closed my eyes tight, until I felt the blade drop.
“Fine, come taker her then.”
Felix had a smirk on his face. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. I felt a sense of relief and confusion wash over me. I let out a sigh, as I wiggled out of his grip. My arm had reached out to Lucien as I watched him walk over. I smiled softly, before it quickly faded. I let out a cough, as I held my chest.
“Kamilla! What’s wrong?”
I heard Lucien yell as he ran faster towards me. I heard Felix laugh, as he pulled the blade out of my chest. I fell onto my knees, as I heard a ringing through my ears. I heard a faint scream through the ringing as I felt Lucien hold me close.
“You really thought id let her go like that? You’re even more of a moron than I thought!”
I heard a faint chuckle, before a gasp. I looked up to see Lucien throwing a knife through Felix’s head. I clutched my chest hard, as I coughed a bit of blood.
I saw tears in Lucien’s eyes, as they slowly rolled down his face. It had been the first time I’ve seen him cry.
‘No no no, Kamilla you can’t leave me! Not yet, you have a life in front of you. Please...”
His voice had cracked, as he pushed a strand of hair out of my face. He choked on his own tears as he looked at my face.
I coughed yet again, still clutching my chest, as I coughed up more blood. I felt his fingers wipe the blood off my bottom up, as tears filled my eyes.
“Please, you were the only thing making me human... you can’t leave me yet…”
I let out a soft smile, as I rested my hand on his cheek, I felt him lean into the touch, before my hand dropped, as I took my last breath, as my eyes fell.
His eyes widened as he held me closer. He let out a devastated scream, as his cold hands drenched in blood clench hard to his beloved. It was already too late as he gave up his remaining sense of humanity as he slowly succumbed to anger. The newly found fallen angel had no clue what to do, as the only thing he cared about died in his arms due to his own actions.
His blood boiled in anger and grief as he clutched his necklace tight. He looked into his lovers’ lifeless eyes, whispering something to her one last time.
“You have given up everything to make me happy, so I owe you this, to return the favor. No matter the cost.”
He shattered his necklace in the prosses. He chanted something, with the broken pieces in his hand as he closed his eyes tightly. That was when a new presence had appeared behind the two.
He dropped the broken necklace, as his gaze stayed on his dead lover.
“You like to trade souls, correct?”
The presence behind him had an evil grin as he responded.
“Why yes I do.”
“Let’s make a trade, my soul for her life.”
The presences smile froze, as Lucien turned around to face the devil. Was he being serious? But then he looked into Lucien’s eyes and felt something cold. Something new, it was the cold drop of sweat on his back.
This man was the first one to scare him more than the archangel themselves, a fallen angel. A fallen angel who lost everything, is willing to throw his life to the devil, for her.
“Are you sure?”
The devil asked again, his gaze searching through Lucienne’s eyes for any sort of doubt, but there was none. He was being completely serious. The devils’ eyes froze, before he nodded.
The devil had chanted something under his breath, before my eyes widened, gasping for air. I looked at the two surrounding me, as Lucien had a broken smile, before his body went limp.
