I held Lucien as I gasped. It took a moment, before I noticed the devil. He had traded his life for mine. Tears filled my eyes as I felt a cold rush of wind flow over us.
“No no you idiot! Why would you do this!?”
I gripped Lucien tightly, as tears fell. As the wind blew again, I watched as small white specs had fallen around us.
“Well would you look at that? It looks like the stars are falling.”
I let out a sobbing chuckle, while looking into his eyes, I wiped his tears away as I watched him.
“It’s snow...”
I said with a weak smile, as I saw the life slowly draining from his eyes. I could tell he was fighting death, but he was losing the battle.
“Snow? That shouldn’t be possible here… its colder than I thought. It’s beautiful. I’m glad that I got to see It with someone I love…”
I watched as Lucien stared into my eyes. It was a dream that became reality. He had taken his necklace off, tucking it into my hand before he drew his final breath. I panicked as I shook him.
“No no you can’t leave! Why would you do this!?”
I choked onto my own tears, as I held him close. I knew he loved me, but I couldn’t stand the thought of being without him. I let out a blood curdling scream as I held him close. I hated him more than anything right now, but even then, I couldn’t say that, because I loved him more than anything.
“Your voice is fading in my head, but your words will forever stick. The dreams I have of you have turned into nightmares since your absence. Holding me close telling me everything will be alright. You’re saying you’re here for me to only wake up crying. I miss you. Want my dreams to be real dreams again, and possibly reality…”
I closed my eyes tightly after I spoke. I gasped for air, as my eyes widened quickly. As I looked around, I had found myself in my old room at Felix’s kingdom. I gasped for air as I saw Lucien sitting on my bed. My eyes widened as I hugged Lucien tightly, choking with my sobs.
He may have been confused, but he held me close, whispering sweet nothings in my ears.
“Shh, calm down Kamilla… it was only a nightmare.”
Her eyes widened as she looked at him, she was relived it was a nightmare but, she couldn’t believe it. She was devastated. She had built such a life, there was no way it was nothing more than a nightmare, almost as if she saw the future.
“How did you…-”
Lucien had placed a finger over my mouth, as his face turned serious.
“I may be stupid sometimes, but I promise I won’t let you die from his hands.”
My eyes widened as I looked at him, how did he know about that if it was only all just a nightmare? He kept the same stern look.
“You’re not the only one who saw it, too.”
I gasped, as I looked into his eyes. I went to speak, before I was cut off by a tight embrace.
“We will make it together, understand? We will change the future. I won’t let you die on me. I will do anything to give you the life you deserve.”
Despite the confusion and worry I had, I melted into his touch. I hugged him back just as tight, never wanting to let go.
“I love you, Lucien.”
“And I love you, Kamilla.”
He gently lifted my face with his finger, as he planted a soft and gentle kiss on my head.
