"Shit..."
My hands started to shake; I couldn't control it. A white aura was around me, and was that, a halo...? Words couldn't even escape my lips. Even when I tried, nothing came out. The longer I stared the more was seen. A faint pair of wings appeared, a tilted halo, and the white glow. When I looked behind me you could see horns on Lucien, with a tail. The two kingdoms that aren't allowed to communicate. Maybe that's why people were staring at me.? No, only the mirror can see. So why.? I was lost in my own thoughts, which is until I heard his voice.
"Kamilla, where are you from...?"
I didn't know how to respond. I was locked up for so long I had completely forgotten. My whole species is gone, I didn't think anyone would find out. This place is filled with devils, how was I supposed to tell him?
"I- "
Still, no words wouldn't come out. Millions of thoughts, but nothing would come out.
"Kamilla. Where are you from."He said with stern look on his face, but I could hear the worry in his voice. I sighed and turned to look at him. Tears started to form as I quickly whipped them away. I could see the scared look on his face. He took a step back as he waited for my answer. Was he scared of me.?
"Angbotain."
I said confidently, even though it was obvious I was scared. What if he doesn't like me anymore? He's my only hope, and I don't want to go back to him. His eyes widened.
"Terrain of th-" I said, before I was cut off.
"The angels..."
He spoke with a shaky voice. My eyes widened, looking at him directly.
"Wait you know about it!?" I looked at him confused. Not many know. And Felix made de
"Yeah, I was told stories of it when I was little, but it was too real for it to be just a story.
I decided one day to investigate it- but wait but I thought everyone was killed!?"
"Everyone was killed. I'm the only one alive..."
"So, you decided to go to Spiunknds? That must be the furthest one way, and the worst one."
"No, I was kidnapped."
My breathing started to get shaky, as I tried to take deep breaths.
"They were after me, I was 4. I..."
My vision started getting blurry, I felt a wet, drop of water go down my face. I looked away; I didn't want him to see me like this. Weak, and pathetic.
I heard footsteps come my way. I got scared. Was he going to hit me? I deserved it either way. After all, I lied to him. I stood waiting, but instead I got a tight, and comforting hug.
"Shh... its ok, I'm here..."
I just fell to the ground. I missed his touch. I felt safe in his arms. I hugged him tightly and whispered to him,
"I watched my father get murdered in front of me, and watched my kingdom burn to the ground. I watched my people burn. And I didn't do anything to stop it."
"I'm sorry to hear that... it wasn't your fault, I promise. Don't feel like you have to explain more if you don't want to, ok?"
"We shouldn't be together though. Its forbidden."
"I've already made up my mind. I'm never leaving your side. I will protect you like my life depends on it, no one will sperate us."
I nodded. I didn't realize I was on the floor holding him like my life depended on it. My head rested on his chest, tears falling off my face, arms wrapped around him. I didn't realize anything I was doing; I just was glad to have this comfort. Something I've never had before.
"Hey, Lucien?"
"Yes dear?"
Dear. A name I hated being called but loved when it came from him. I was silent for a moment, thinking about my choices.
"... can we just, stay like this?"
"Of course,"
I smiled and yawned a little. I hadn't slept in a while, but it wasn't my main priority. I cherished this moment, and I wanted to let it happen as long as possible.
"I'm sorry for not telling you."
"Don't be sorry, It's not something that's everyday news. I'm not mad, thank you for telling the truth."
I gave a slow nod, as he started rubbing my back. He gave a soft kiss to my head. His touch was warm, and soothing. I was on the bridge of falling asleep. No touch, or thing or person has made me feel this way before. It was like I was drunk, but I wasn't.
"Hey, Lucien?"
I was as quiet as a mouse. If the room wasn't silent, he wouldn't have heard me.
"Hm?"
It sounded like he was almost sleep too. He needs the sleep more than I do.
"I..."
Yawn, I fell asleep before the words could leave my mouth. His body was so warm, like my own little heating pad. His back was propped up against his bed on the floor. That couldn't be comfortable. I was in his lap, our chests touching as we were holding onto each other as tight as possible. Again, it was like heaven.
