CHAPTER 30: 🔞 Girlfriends

"N-nico.. sorry for not hearing you out. Sorry dahil hindi kita inintindi. Sorry kasi lumay--" Malory wasn't able to finish her sentence when she felt a pair of lips being clashed with her own. Mason claimed her lips once again, dwelling herself on the warmth that she was deprived of. Their kisses was full of longing as both of them tried to savor each other's presence through the kiss they shared. Malory didn't even noticed that her door was already locked until she felt her back pressed against her bed. 

Mason pulled away from their shared kiss, both looking at each other with passion and desire evident on their burning gazes. 

"I understand, Yves. Both of us may have made mistakes but we can consider that as the past already. Mas importante sakin na magkasama na tayo ulit ngayon. That you're now aware of what actually happened. I'm sorry for hurting you. In all those years that we're apart, I realized that I was lost. I felt like I wasn't human anymore because you took my heart with you. Are you willing to work things out with me again, Yves?" Mason spoke her heart out, hoping to let Malory feel the sincerity and longing that she emphasized with every words she expressed. Her hand made its way to Malory's face, caressing it and staring into every details, trying to memorize the face of the latter.

"I don't want to work things out with you anymore." Mason was taken aback. She didn't expect that after the kiss they shared, Malory and her aren't on the same page anymore. Mason slowly lifted her body from hovering on top of the younger and tried to compose herself. She felt her world stop as her mind tried to process the disappearing chance of being with Malory. 

"Because I want to be your girlfriend already. Ayoko nang pahirapan ka. You and me suffered enough. I can be anything you want me to be. Hindi ko na kakayanin pang patagalin kung pwede namang angkinin mo na ako ngayon, Nico. The pain of losing you over the past few years haunted me to the point na kahit pakasalan mo ako ngayon para lang hindi na tayo maghiwalay, papayag ako agad." Malory's glistening eyes with tears directly stared at Mason. She meant every word she said and she only hope that her gazes spoke its volume towards Mason. 

Mason can't help to let out the tears that she tried to suppress over the last years. She only cried to herself and never allowed anyone to see her vulnerability. But with Malory, she felt safe and open. Nararamdaman niyang tanggap na tanggap ng dalaga ang lahat sa kaniya. Mason can only sob as she snuggled her face on Malory's neck. Malory, on the other hand, hugged Mason as tightly as she can, her comfort bringing complete solace to the latter. 

All the pain, suffering, and longing was replaced with tranquility and warmth that they can only find within each other. Mason cried her heart out as she poured all the loneliness and pain she felt out of the window. She felt a huge relief after knowing that she and Malory are still on the same page. Lalo pa't binanggit nito na gusto niyang angkinin na siya ni Mason. 

Once Mason settled down, she reached for her pocket and pulled out a jewelry box. Malory only stared at it, trying to guess whatever's inside. 

"Remember our fourth day on Japan? That day, I actually had plans for us. Busy ako sa phone because I was settling the venue where I originally planned to ask you to be my girlfriend. That same day, Maverick asked me for help. I guess you already knew about that part. I-i was planning to give you this." Mason slowly opened the jewelry box, showing a diamond Enticelle de Cartier necklace which she carefully picked. It took her weeks before finding a necklace that can be identical to how special Malory was for her. 

Mason carefully guided the younger to sit on its bed for her to wear the necklace. With Malory's back facing her, she placed all of latter's hair on one side of her neck and gently attached the necklace on its neck. Malory touched the pendant and stared at it which made her blush. Sigurado siyang magkano ang inaabot ng kwintas na ito. But what she appreciated the most was Mason's patience. After the years that they were apart, Mason was still able to treasure the necklace, as if determined that one day, she will be able to give it to Malory.

Malory faced Mason and gave the latter a quick yet meaningful kiss on the lips. 

"T-this is too much.. I feel like hindi ko deserve ang ganito lalo na't nasira ko ang plano mo." Malory struggled to speak her mind and can only bring her head down, her tears attempting to fall out of guilt and shame.

"Don't blame yourself, Mal. It was never anyone's fault, okay? I understand kung bakit naging ganon ang response mo. I want to move forward with you at magagawa lang natin yun if we'll put the past behind us. Isa pa, no amount of luxury or anything can tell you how deserving you are para sakin." Mason pulled the younger girl to give her a warm embrace, trying to ease her worries. She pressed a kiss on its forehead and pulled away from the hug only to stare at Malory again.

"I was thinking of giving you a ring instead or maybe both. But I realized that I can save that for our marriage." The CEO continued to speak which caused Malory to feel her heart exploding with so much joy. 

"Ibig sabihin ako na talaga ang gusto mong pakasalan?" 

"I can't imagine a life without you, Malory. Binalak ko ngang hindi magpakasal o makipag-relasyon sa kahit na sino kung hindi ikaw. You have my heart in your precious hands at kahit hindi mo na ibalik. I want to build a family with you, to have you carry our little ones if you'll allow me." Mason's answer made Malory to flash a genuine and satisfied smile. Kuhang-kuha talaga nito ang kilig niya. Mason always knew the right words to say leading Malory to realize just how lucky she got. 

"If I'll allow you? Of course, I would. Without second doubt. Kakabanggit ko nga lang kanina na kung papakasalan mo ko ngayon, hindi na ako magpapakipot. Ikaw na yan eh." Malory's answer made the both or them burst in laughter. They haven't experienced this joy for a very long time making this moment much special for them.
