"Izuku!" "Izuku!" "Izuku wake up!" "Guess what day it is!" The girls jumped excitedly on the bed, and the boy had to face the facts and wake up. He sat up and looked at the girls with mild confusion, and if he wasn't so adamant about being polite, he would've let his irritation show. He just wanted to sleep in for once!

"Er... Wednesday...?" The girls laughed.

"It's our birthday!" They giggled and looked expectantly at him. How was he supposed to know that? He rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"Um... Happy birthday...?" The twins' smiles faded, and they both sighed, getting off the bed. Was Izuku supposed to say something else? He began waking himself up properly as the girls took an outfit each to change into in the bathroom. Izuku got off the bed, tidying his hair, and found an outfit on the end of the bed with a note.

PLEASE WEAR THIS FOR OUR BIRTHDAY!

Izuku sweat dropped but closed the door and changed into the outfit. He had worn it before during a game of dress up, which was a black shirt that had a white skull on the front, some jean shorts and white knee-high socks and white shoes. The girls had said he looked great in it. When he left the room, he was met with the smell of coffee and tea in the kitchen, which he was immediately drawn to. The boy made himself some coffee, listening to Sasha and Granny B have light conversation.

By the time he was done, the girls were out of the bathroom. Beatrice wore a yellow sun dress with a white daisy pattern and white sandals, and Tonja wore a black sundress that had a red ribbon, tied to look like a rose in the back, and red flats. They had decorated their hair and ran up to Izuku, almost making him spill his coffee.

"Izuku! Izuku!" "Who do you think is prettier?" "It's me right?" "No, no, it's probably me!" "As if! It's me!" "Nuh uh!"

The girls began bickering, and Izuku shied away, gripping his coffee mug.

"Uh... you both look pretty...?" He said, though not properly since it sounded more like a question than a statement and earned a sigh from the girls. The went over to their dad asked him to make them some tea with a frown, and Izuku looked up at Granny B and Sasha, wondering what he did wrong. The two women only laughed, which led him to more confusion.

"But what did I do...??" He gripped his mug tightly, and Sasha ruffled his hair.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it Izuku. They're just being dramatic." The boy took a sip of coffee.

"About what though...?"

"They just want you to be as excited as them dearie. But don't try and force it, you'll make them even more whiny." Granny B chuckled, sipping her tea. Izuku narrowed his eyes. When was the last time he was excited for a birthday? When he turned 4 was it? He forgot about his 5th birthday, and you didn't get treated any different when in that hazard for the quirkless on your birthday, so he also missed his 6th birthday, and barely remembered about his 7th. Huh...

Oh but he was always excited for Katsuki's birthday! He had a dream about it the night before his 7th birthday. A big birthday for Katsuki, All Might themed and playing kick ball. Was that the kind of excitement the girls wanted? He didn't know them as well as Katsuki, but he could try?? Though Granny B said he shouldn't force his excitement. Oh well. Izuku shrugged and decided to ask Sasha about dropping him off at a train station.

"Oh sure! The girls would be happy to spend some extra time. But will you be fine on your own? I don't want to drop you off and then for you to get hurt." After she finished, he nodded. He'll just use the rocks if he's in danger. Sasha patted his head again with a smile.

"Alright, but I'll give you my pocketknife just in case, alright? I have some spares anyway." The woman said and the boy took that as his cue to leave and watch MARVLE. Specifically, Captain America: The First Avenger. But the girls beat him to the TV, and he can't just rid them of their favorite show on their birthday, so he made a turn to the bedroom. Only to be called by the girls. Suddenly, it was Captain America playing on TV.

"Izuku!" "Come watch with us!" "Please!" "It's Captain America!" "We promise not to scream this time!"

The green haired kid sweat dropped. He nodded and brought his coffee to the TV room, and the girls moved to sit on either side of him, though waited for him to finish his coffee before they leaned their heads on his shoulder with soft smiles. He got extremely uncomfortable, but didn't move them off out of fear of being impolite. It was a pain to watch Captain America with them. He almost punched them on reflex when they gripped his arms after Red Skull showed up! And from what the 'sanctuary' said, if you're a boy, you can't hit girls. Though this made no sense to Izuku, since how was a male hero supposed to deal with a female villain with no back up if that were the case? And isn't that just doing the opposite of feminism since that implies women are weak and can't handle a fight like a guy could? Either way, he knew he shouldn't hit the twins at this age with no reason.

When the movie ended, Izuku briskly brought his mug to the kitchen, and Beatrice sighed, and Tonja whined, holding onto her sister.

"He just doesn't understand how we feel." "Of course not. Boys just don't get love." "How could they?" "I just want him to at least hug us back!" "But we can't force him to, that's rude." "I know..."

They both sighed in unison, and Izuku had to think for a hot second to remember what that was. Oh right- Love! What kind did they mean? Probably friendship right, they're too young for romantic love. But he did understand that kind of love! So maybe they were right, he doesn't understand how they feel. The boy gave a sigh of his own, and put down his mug, then went to the MARVEL box to find some comics. He had seen them when he was looking for more of the discs to watch and found out they were made before the movies. Granny B also had a lot more of them, so he took a good few and went to the bedroom to read.

"Izuku? What are you doing?" The girls peeked their head into the room, speaking in unison. The green haired child looked up. Wasn't it obvious? He's reading, duh. What else would he use the comic for? Accessorizing?  His hand moved to turn the page, the other holding his locket.

"Reading...?" The girls smiled and entered the room entirely.

"Can you read it to us?"

"Can't you read yourself...?"  The girls froze a bit and looked at each other, then him.

"Oh- um... we can't read." "Yeah, is it a bother to you?" "We can just let you read in peace if you want?" Izuku thought for a bit, then nodded and moved to sit straight.

"Sure... I can read it to you... I could also teach you...?" He offered, and the girls smiles brightened, the twins excitedly going over to Izuku to sit next to him. They nodded eagerly, and Izuku started reading to them and teaching them how to do so themselves, asking them every now and then to try and read comic bubbles, and helping them with pronunciation when they struggled. They were always so happy when they got it right, and since the girls got competitive, they put a hair clip in their hair every time they got it right to see who could get the most before teatime.

Now, Izuku was reading a fight scene to them, covering parts that were bloody, and letting them read the sound effects when they were called for cake. It was Beatrice who won by the way, and she made sure to rub it in Tonja's face. The girls got up excitedly, and Izuku quickly memorized the page number as he was dragged by the twins at the wrist. The cake was sitting on the dining table, and Izuku sat in his usual spot next to Granny B for teatime and singing. Shame he didn't know how the English happy birthday went, having never had a birthday where they sang it to him here. And never will. He sat silently at the table, hands in his lap as he awkwardly watched everyone sing to the twins.

Sasha handed them a knife, and Izuku almost panicked before he realized the older woman was helping them guide the knife through the cake. He let out a small sigh of relief as a slice of cake was placed before him. He thanked Granny B for making it, and wished the twins happy birthday again, and they seemed much happier with it than this morning, so he deemed he did it right this time.
