"MAN, it's really happening, huh?" Neito hummed, glancing around at the sea of students. "We're actually here."

The first day of U.A. had finally dawned, the bright and clear sky shining through tall glass windows. Despite the sunshine, a brisk chill still lingered, but the trio didn't pay it any mind.

"Yeah, kinda surreal," Hitoshi replied, his clammy hands shoved into his pockets. "But we did it."

Hitomi, Neito, and Hitoshi walked together down the bustling corridors, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors. The hallways were sufficiently crowded with students, all wearing the distinctive U.A. uniforms.

Hitomi's uniform, however, was slightly modified; she wore sheer black tights and a cool gray cardigan over her button-down shirt, instead of the blazer that was too short for her arms.

They were mild enough changes that neither were against school rules (she checked). Thankful for that, this would be her way of keeping her scars hidden for now.

Tomi wasn't ready to display them proudly, but the troubled kid definitely hoped that one day she would be.

Hitomi nodded at the boy's comments, her eyes avoiding the faces around her. "I just hope I don't trip and fall on my face in front of everyone," she muttered, half-joking.

Neito smirked from his spot in the middle, nudging her with his elbow. "Don't worry, if you do, I'll be right there to laugh at you."

A concise snort came from the tallest of the three, finding it humorous in how truthful that statement was.

Neito somehow always managed to record the times Hitomi lost the reins of her clumsiness, and —after making sure she wasn't seriously hurt— would always laugh.

"Gee, thanks," Hitomi replied, rolling her eyes. "Your mom must be proud: you're such a standup guy."

"Hey, what are friends for?" Neito grinned innocently, yet his eyes twinkled with mischief.

She lightly muttered an insult about his shorter stature, to which the blond childishly pretended he couldn't hear her anymore.

Hitoshi chuckled, shaking his head. "Just try not to cause too much trouble on your first day, kay Zombie?"

The older brother stopped walking, prompting the others to do the same. It was only then that Hitomi realized they were under the sign reading '1-C'.

"I don't want to wait an extra hour because you got detention and Mom won't let you walk home alone," he lightly frowned, putting a hand on his hip.
