THE TROUBLESOME TRIO made their way up several flights of stairs, the noise from the crowded hallways fading as they climbed higher. However, as they reached the roof entrance, they found it locked.

Toshi sighed, glancing at the door. "Guess we could just eat in the stairwell."

"'S'fine, I got it," Hitomi mumbled and reached into her bag.

The boys watched in confusion as she pulled out a small pink handbook.

Nei scoffed out a teasing giggle, hands on his hips. "Updating your diary on this development, eh Tomi-chan?"

"No, but make sure and update yours when you get some development."

He squawked out an offended noise, resting a hand over his chest in shock. "I do not have a diary!"

"Yes you do," Hitoshi snorted while he leaned up against the wall, hands in his pockets.

"TOSHI WHY?" the blond whined before suddenly hearing metal clinks, making him look to the younger twin. Or more accurately, the lock pick set in her hands.

"Uh, Hitomi, what are you doing?" Monoma asked, his curiosity piqued.

She didn't bother looking up after she knelt in front of the door handle. "What does it look like I'm doing?" the ex-surgeon muttered while her hands moved with practiced precision.

The older brother exchanged a glance with Neito, both slightly taken aback.

"Since when do you know how to pick locks?" Hitoshi mumbled, surprised and concerned.

"Since I needed to," she replied cryptically and curtly, the girl's focus clearly unwavering.

Tomi had no interest in telling them it was for the times her dad had locked her on their penthouse balcony when she'd pissed him off. It was too cold to just stay out there sometimes so...

The lock clicked open, and she pushed the door ajar, stepping aside to let them through.

"Well then," Monoma chuckled nervously, trying to dispel some of the weird air that had sparked from the stare both twins were sending each other. "Remind me not to get on your bad side."

Hitomi rolled her eyes, patience wearing thinner by the second. "Just go."

They did so, but not before sending another knowing look to each other. It was obvious they silently agreed to help out however they could.
