"THIRTEEN!" Hitomi called out, bone-chillingly loud to the ears of her classmates, who'd all gotten used to her quieter tone.

Hot blood covered the cold floor, Thirteen was incapacitated, and six students remained atop the stairs after the villain warped the rest away.

Long story short: things were going great.

The dark, uncomfortably warm blood was scarier when it's real, Hitomi thought. It was wildly different from the prop plasma her old med-school used for practice surgeries.

Even though her former program's blood had been artificially warmed to fit an accurate body temp, something about knowing the blood that Hitomi knelt down in—the blood that soaked through her suit in seconds—was heated by a human's body?

It made the girl in question feel uneasy.

But despite all that, Shinso knew she had the most experience and resources to help. She was the space hero's best shot of staying alive right now.

So she kicked her autopilot into overdrive.

Jumping into action as all the training sessions came rushing back, Tomi removed the gauze spiraled around her left arm and instantly applied pressure to the worst part of the gaping wounds.

This was quickly followed by her carefully removing the hero's helmet off, then haphazardly throwing it over her shoulder.

As it clanked to the ground and Hitomi pulled Thirteen's suit back slightly, the injury was better seen, and the damage was bad. So bad.

After the warping villain opened a portal behind the teacher, her quirk ripped her skin apart, down multiple layers. The tears ranged in jagged patterns from her tailbone, to the top of her shoulder blades.

But even so, something about the amount of ruby liquid pouring out felt excessive to Hitomi's trained eye. This prompted her brows to tightly knit together as she knelt by the rescue hero's ear.

"Do you have a bleeding disorder? Von Willebrand disease? Hemophilia??" she swiftly guessed a diagnosis as the woman's eyes threatened to close.
