"IT'S YOU! The heroic babe from the exams!"

Hitomi died a little bit inside that day. The sheer volume that dreaded honey blond talked made her want to commit (more) crimes.

Everyone in class, about seventeen people who were already sitting, looked in the direction of her standing still figure.

She shifted uncomfortably and cursed herself for not wearing her headphones when walking in.

"Yo," Hitomi monotonously replied. Like always, she was acting bored to mask her social anxiety.

The boy hopped up in his seat, nearly skipping over, and stopped right in front of her and the podium.

"Guys, this girl literally has a scary good sniper aim!" the annoying announcer filled in the curious kids, looking back and forth from Hitomi and the class.

"She stopped the zero pointer— with a SLINGSHOT!"

"Technically I stopped it with a metal shard," Tomi corrected, blank face looking down on the shorter boy.

"Oh," he snorted out a laugh and pointed at her. "That's true! By the way I'm D—"

"Denki Kaminari. I know."

"Wh— but— huh?! How??"

She glanced between the gobsmacked boy and all the peering eyes, a random joke popping into her mind.

"I'm psychic."

"Seriously?!" Kaminari —as well as a few other more vocally inclined students— exclaimed.

Her bloodshot eyes barely widened. Did these weirdo's actually believe her? Had they never heard of sarcasm?

"That really so shocking?" she muttered, keeping her tone dull, eyes half lidded with a slightly raised brow. 'Are we not living in the same society where kids have laser eyes and crap?'

Maybe she wouldn't correct him. After all, she'd rather they not know her quirk until after the sports festival anyway; it'd make things easier on her.

"So you can like, see things..?"

"How else would I know you and Present Mic had boy talk about me?" Hitomi held the smallest smirk after saying that, catching his slight blush.

"You saw that?!"

"Mhm," she nodded, suppressing a snicker at the technical truth. "So vividly it's almost like a video in front of my eyes."

He snapped his fingers like he had a question that would stump her make-believe quirk.
