sped through the streets on her motorcycle, her black helmet gleaming under the early morning sun. The rumble of the engine was a comfort, a familiar noise that drowned out the chaos inside her mind. As she arrived at school, she parked her bike and removed her helmet, shaking out her dark hair. A few students glanced in her direction, whispering, but Ken remained unfazed. She was used to the stares, the rumors about her mysterious persona, and her aloof attitude.Meanwhile, Wenny stood near the entrance with her group of friends, chatting and laughing, unaware that Ken was approaching. She had spent the entire night fuming over yesterday’s encounter. How could someone be so careless and rude? And not even bother to apologize? That thought gnawed at her as she relived the moment over and over.
Ken, on the other hand, had completely forgotten about the incident. She was far too preoccupied with her other responsibilities—her secret life as Spider-Man. Today was just another day for her, another routine to get through. But as she walked past the crowd of students, Wenny’s sharp voice rang out.
“Ken! Hey!”
Ken paused but didn’t turn around immediately. After a deep breath, she finally faced Wenny, who was glaring at her with an irritated expression.
“You bumped into me yesterday and didn’t even apologize!” Wenny said, crossing her arms. “Is it so hard to say ‘sorry’?”
Ken blinked, surprised by Wenny’s straightforwardness. She had to admit, Wenny was bold, even if it came off as a bit aggressive. Ken sighed softly and responded, her voice cool.
“I was in a hurry. Sorry if that upset you.”
Wenny frowned, not entirely satisfied with the half-hearted apology. "That’s it? You didn’t even care."
Ken shrugged. “I don’t see the point in dragging it out.”
Wenny narrowed her eyes. “You’re impossible.”
Ken said nothing in return, simply staring back with her calm, unreadable expression. After a moment, she turned on her shoe and walked away, leaving Wenny fuming behind her. Wenny’s friends looked between the two with a mix of curiosity and amusement.
“What’s up with her?” one of Wenny’s friends asked, watching Ken leave.
“She’s always like that,” Wenny muttered. “Thinks she’s too cool for everyone.”
But deep down, Wenny couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more to Ken. Beneath that icy, distant exterior, there was something she couldn’t quite figure out. Why was Ken so closed off from everyone? What was she hiding?
Meanwhile, Ken slipped into the classroom, trying to push the encounter from her mind. She knew Wenny would continue to be annoyed with her, but it didn’t matter. Her focus had to remain on the bigger picture—the dangers that lurked in the city, the criminals she needed to stop. But somehow, Wenny's words echoed in her mind, lingering longer than they should.
As the day passed, Ken’s thoughts kept wandering back to that moment in the hallway. She couldn’t deny that Wenny had an energy about her—something that stirred something inside her, a flicker of something unexpected. But she quickly brushed it off. There was no time for distractions, not in her life.
However, fate seemed to have different plans. Because as the days went by, their paths kept crossing. Each time they interacted, tension sparked, but there was something else brewing underneath it all. Something Ken wasn’t ready to face yet.
